Bali Dynasty Resort commits support to Solemen

Bali Dynasty Resort has been concerned for the past 20 years with its commitment to alleviating suffering and making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people in Bali. Having successfully raised over 3 Billion rupiah for its former charity project in conjunction with the East Bali Poverty project, the resort has now turned to Solemen to support individuals in need.

To launch the new partnership and commitment under the new slogan  “Help Friends for Life” The Solemen team met with the Management team to unveil the new charity board in the main lobby of the resort which highlights the different initiatives the Resort will do to raise money for Solemen.

The Charity board details the many ways in which people can help as well as has pictures of those which have been helped, are in need of help and encourages guests to make donations in the donation box in the form of money or much needed supplies.

The new charity has received a favourable response from the resort guests who are attracted to the personal nature of each case and the feeling that they really are making a difference. In addition to the $2 to checkout promotion, the twice weekly Quiz nights held in Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub have become increasingly popular as they focus on the needs of individuals and this has proved to be a very successful way to raise much needed support very quickly.

Yayasan Solemen Indonesia or simply “SOLEMEN” is a Bali-based Indonesian registered non-profit foundation working alongside accredited agencies and projects to alleviate suffering and support the disadvantaged in Bali. Solemen was formed in October 2010 by founder Robert Esptone, who then vowed to walk barefoot until he raised a million dollars. The reason for being barefoot is “to be in solidarity with those who don’t have a choice to wear or not wear shoes”.
