Counting the Days until the Back to Bali Dynasty Party
The biggest annual fundraising event, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party, is happening very soon. Scheduled for Saturday, 10 February 2018 at 5.30pm, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party will be at the Corporate Lounge, Subi Sport Bar in Perth, Western Australia. This is the 25th time we have hosted the event and we have prepared something very special in line with this silver celebration.
Tickets are limited and selling quickly, therefore book now to secure your seat. Bookings must be made before 8th February since tickets are not available on the door! Chinese New Year Special at Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant
Welcome the Year of the Earth Dog with Golden Lotus’s special Chinese New Year menu at a very affordable price. Starting on 9 February and continuing until 3 March 2018, Golden Lotus presents the popular Yee Sang Salad and the extensive set menu, Hong Wan Salmon Yee Sang.
Yee Sang is a special salad made up of filleted salmon fish, thinly sliced carrots, shredded yam, chopped peanuts and other vegetables, mixed and seasoned with Chinese spices and Golden Lotus special sauce. Tossing Yee Sang is believed to bring prosperity and therefore has become a tradition in many Chinese communities. Yee Sang salad is available in three different portions: small – IDR 90K, medium – IDR 175K, and large – IDR 250K.

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, a special show from Barongsai and Chinese duo will entertain the diners on 15th and 16th February respectively.
Celebrating the month of love, Ashoka Spa re-introduces the Chocolate Indulgence as this month’s special. Previously available in October 2017, this chocolate-based spa treatment was well received and popular amongst our guests.

The treatment starts with a relaxing Foot Bath ritual followed by a decadent Chocolate Aromatic Massage. Bali Dynasty Resort 2017 Highlights
We provided Solemen Car, a courtesy car to transport the needy and their families from the remote areas around Bali to the main hospital in Denpasar for treatment or diagnosis for free. The car has proven to be a massive help to Solemen’s Outreach Programme, which has now expanded to caring for over 900 ‘SoleBuddies’ around the island.
The 24th Back to Bali Dynasty Party was held at Subi Sport Bar, Western Australia, and raised AUD 4,000 for the Charity Effort to support Solemen Indonesia.
We finished the renovation of the Kids Club, Teens Club, Kids Water Fun Zone and Kids Playground. They now look better and fresh!
The H2O Theme Buffet dinner featured the new menu, Brazilian Churrasco
We said goodbye to Robert Kelsall, who had been the General Manager of Bali Dynasty Resort for over 17 years.
We welcomed Didit Indra Purnawarman as the new General Manager effective on the 1st of April 2017.
Bali Dynasty Resort’s representative Pramadi and Christine won the Prime Plaza’s Employee of the Year Award for Front and Back of the House, making it the first time for the Resort to win both of these prestigious titles at the same time.
Family Suites were opened for the first time. The Family Suite is set to provide more privacy and space with modern touches and comfort. The Suite features a main bedroom, a living room that can easily be converted to a secondary bedroom with pull down twin beds and pull out sofa bed, two bathrooms and a kitchenette.
We offered the Early Bird Special, which allowed guests to get discounted rates on selected room types when they booked 90 days before arrival. The Early Bird Special has been extended with travel period up to 30 June 2018.
We completed the project to install four community toilets and shower blocks for seven families in Desa Patas, Gerokgak, North Bali. This project has improved the safety, sanitation and quality of life for 26 people including three elderly people, one disabled adult and seven children who previously used the beach and sea as toilets.
We sponsored the ‘Solemen House’ in Renon, Denpasar. Fully operated by Solemen Indonesia, the house provides free accommodation for the poor and their families who live far away from the hospital, and for whom basic needs such as sleeping or bathing are a rare extravagance.
We opened a new room category called Deluxe Terrace. The room features a queen size bed and a trundle sofa bed, allowing parents and two kids aged max 12 years to sleep comfortably.
Bali Dynasty Resort was voted No. 1 in the 'Top 10 Best Family Resorts in Indonesia', in the 4-Star Category, in the 2017 Holidays with Kids Readers' Choice Awards. We have been included in the awards for eight consecutive years and this was the second time that we topped the list.
The Bali Dynasty Resort assisted Solemen to fund the endoscopy treatment for Kadek Ari Wiguna, a 9 year old boy who has been unwell for approximately 2 years with recurrent gastric bleeds. The assessment was done in Surabaya, East Java.
We celebrated our annual temple ceremony on 3rd November.
Bali Dynasty Resort raised in excess of IDR 410 million (over USD 30,000) for the Charity Effort, thanks to the generous donation of the guests through Back to Bali Dynasty Party, and regular fundraising during the Quiz Nights and in-the-resort activities.
Bali Dynasty Resort was awarded with Platinum II Medal and PR Simpatik Award during 2017 Tri Hita Karana (THK) Awards and Accreditation in recognition of our significant achievements in incorporating and advocating sustainable spiritual, social and environmental principles and practices to business.
Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant was completely upgraded with a brand new interior, food presentation and overall standards of excellence to continue delivering an exemplary dining experience to guests of this popular Chinese eatery.
Bali Dynasty Resort recently stepped in to help the people who are affected by the Mount Agung volcanic eruption. These people are villagers who live within the government-declared dangerous area of 10 km from Agung’s crater (now reduced to 8 km). Bali Dynasty Resort’s help was in the form of useful goods and meal supplies, which were distributed through Bali Hotel Association and Solemen Indonesia.
Bali Dynasty Resort has also helped fund the initial treatment of Ni Putu Eka Juliyanti, aged 14, who fell from her motorbike on her way to pray at the temple. Eka suffers from brain nerve due to the collision and is under the supervision of a neurosurgeon. The collision also affected her muscle which has now become smaller and stiffer. She needs a series of Botox treatment to help relax her nerves, an ongoing process that she has to endure.

Garuda Indonesia to offer new routes from Bali to Zhengzhou, Xi'an
Garuda Indonesia is set to open new routes from Denpasar in Bali to Zhengzhou and Xi'an in China starting at the end of January. The new service from Denpasar to Xi'an will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays starting 29 Jan using the Airbus A330-300, which can accommodate 360 passengers. Meanwhile, the Denpasar-Zhengzhou route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays starting 30 Jan, also using the Airbus A330-300. (The Jakarta Post)
Bali Airport to Host Tourism Counters Operated by Bali Tourism Board
Bali Airport will feature permanent Tourism Counters as a reliable information source for visiting tourists on all aspects of Bali Tourism. The Tourism Counter will be staffed to provide up-to-date information on current developments, the status of tourism objects, and transportation services in an impartial manner. (Bali Discovery)
Tumpek Wayang – 24 February 2018
Tumpek Wayang is a special day filled with blessings dedicated to the traditional performance art of shadow puppetry. Various offerings are made to the puppets, dance costumes, masks and other equipment used in traditional theatrical art.
