We are excited to inform you that another visit to the children of the East Bali Poverty Project is coming up next month! The children of the village will soon start to prepare for our annual visit on Independence Day, August 17th, and will practice their favourite songs or musical instruments to perform that day.

To aid our charity fundraising effort we introduced our voluntary two dollar to check out program. Also we will continue with our Charity Quiz Nights twice a week at Gracie Kelly's which are a great success and of course there are collection boxes around the resort. Also you can still make donations by purchase Bali Dynasty's merchandise, a percentage of the profit will go to the charity effort.

The Bali Kite Festival is an international kite festival, held annually every July in the Padang Galak area of Sanur. Giant traditional kites, four meters in width and almost ten meters in length, are crafted and flown competitively by teams hailing from the villages of Denpasar.This event is a seasonal religious festival sending a plea to the Hindu deities for an abundant crop and harvest, and truly is a feast for all five senses.

You will find many types of kites in Bali and the colors of the kites are all traditionally black, red, white, and gold/yellow which represent the incarnations of the Hindu deities. The kites are blessed before the event by a temple priest.

Every month we hold our staff gathering, where we celebrate our staff birthdays and present an update to our team on new hotel products and services.  Here are our winners of  April 2014.  These staff members have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests.

Employee of the Month, Front of the House, goes this month to  NI KETUT SUARNI, or Elen to her friends from the Recreation Department. She has been with Bali Dynasty Resort since 1993 and is loved by all the kids. She is married and has 3 children herself as well. Congratulations Elen!

Our Employee of the Month 'Heart of the House' is I WAYAN SETIAWAN from the Food & Beverage Kitchen Department. Wayan joined the Bali Dynasty Resort in 1994 and has 2 children. Congrats Wayan!

Finally, our Guest Nomination for April 2014 is I KETUT SUWITERA from the Housekeeping Department.  Ketut is the smiling face you will see cleaning your rooms most mornings and is always happy to assist you in the best way he can. He joined Bali Dynasty Resort in 1991 and has 3 children. Congratulations Ketut!
