Welcome to the June 2013 edition of the Bali Dynasty Newsletter.
In this edition of our monthly newsletter we will tell you about the new VIP Express Airport Service which can now be booked prior your arrival at the resort, to provide you a smooth arrival through the immigration gates, we will update you on some of our new promotions around the resort, and give you some information on the currently ongoing 'Bali Arts Festival', an event not to be missed!
Also in the month of July it will be your last chance to try out our Peking Duck promotion in Golden Lotus, so if you have not yet tried it then come along and enjoy this delicious and popular dish!

There is no more reliable inspector of a child-friendly travel experience than parents and, of course, the harshest and most honest critics of all are always the children themselves. |
Holidays With Kids magazine has asked their readers to nominate their favorite family resorts for 2013, both in Australia and overseas. Readers score each resort on facilities and activities for children, the quality of childcare and babysitting services, the standard of accommodation, the location, value for money and the overall experience. You can rate the resorts from one to five, with five being the highest score.

Golden Lotus Quarterly Promo Peking Duck
|
Until the 31st of July 2013 guests can enjoy one of Golden Lotus’ most popular dishes on the menu, the signature dish Peking Duck. Peking Duck is a famous duck dish from Beijing that has been prepared since the imperial era, and is now considered a national dish of China.
This special dish is served as three separate courses. Firstly the whole crispy Peking Duck is presented and carved by the Chef at your table .The Duck’s crispy skin is rolled in Chinese pancakes and mixed with Black Bean Sauce, Cucumber and Spring Onions. For the next course the Duck’s meat is cooked with Black Bean sauce and mixed with vegetables and then finally the soup is served consisting of the stock made from the duck bones with vegetables added.

After sitting through a long flight, the last thing that comes to your mind is standing in line at Immigration or waiting forever for the luggage to arrive. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just breeze through the entire routine in less than 20 minutes?

At only IDR 250,000 per person you can now enjoy our Airport Express Service to take all the hassle away! The service includes Meet & Greet service upon arrival at the arrival gate before the Visa on Arrival counter, Handover Visas or other essential documents/payment for VOA, Escort through an inbound immigration booth and Escort through customs clearance.
The service does not include the Visa On Arrival payment, Over Weight based on regulation airline tariffs, assistance with Passport & Visa Problems or Over Carried Goods through Customs.

APEC - Airport possibly closed

The government recently announced that the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali will be closed to commercial flights for a few hours when the island hosts the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in October 2013.
The airport would be closed from 10am to 4pm on 5, 6, 8 and 9 October to make way for state VIPs’ planes.
The closed times and dates are still tentative, but we suggest you to take this into account when booking your trip to Bali in October 2013.

Management Outing

After another year of hard work, it was time for a fun and enjoyable day for the management team of the Bali Dynasty Resort who recently enjoyed a rafting trip on the Ayung River.

Bali Art Festival
The Bali Arts Festival is a wonderful introduction to the Balinese tradition and culture.
The Festival recently opened on the 15th of June with a spectacular and colorful Parade through the main streets of Denpasar. The festival will last for another 3 weeks and takes place at Denpasars’ Art Centre with different events taking place throughout each day. |

You can watch various Cultural performances from the different villages of Bali, see handicraft exhibitions, classical royal dances and historical exhibitions.
Lots of the handicrafts are also on sale and of course where better to sample some of the islands traditional food than from the very people that perfected it.
The atmosphere is terrific and it seems like every village on the island participates in some way
For a small entry fee, tourists are very much welcomed to join in the fun and celebrations.

Tour of the Month - Bali Safari & Marine Park

A Wild Way to Spend A Day!

Every month we hold a staff gathering, where we celebrate our staff birthdays, present an update on whats going on to all our team members as well as recognise those members of staff who have excelled. In May these staff members have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests. We also have a Guest Nomination Award and this award is chosen by our guests who fill in the guest feedback forms before they check out. |

The winner of the Employee of the Month 'Heart of the House' is IDA BAGUS KETUT RAI, one of our Commis Cooks in our popular Gracie Kelly's Irish Pub. Rai started working at the Bali Dynasty Resort in August '92 and has been a loyal staff member for 21 years now! Rai is married and has one child. |

Now, two months on a row, our Guest Nomination award went this month again to I MADE SUPADMA who is one of our popular Housekeeping Assistants. Congratulations Supadma, superb! He has been nominated by the guests as very helpfull and friendly! He works at the Bali Dynasty Resort for 22 years, from the opening of the resort in 1991. He is married and has two children.
