Looking ahead to Saturday, February 15th 2014, we will once again be holding our Annual ‘Back to Bali Dynasty’ Charity Dinner for 2014 at the Western Australian Italian Club at Fitzgerald Street in North Perth.

This year is a very special party since it is our 21st! Tickets are now on sale at the WA Italian Club and we urge you to get your booking in early since we will have a limitation on the number of people we can accept! (it's always booked out!). We are lucky to have obtained the support from our major sponsors, namely Asia Escape Holidays, Creative Holidays and New Horizons Holidays.

As usual the money raised at the event is used to help the poor kids of North Eastern Bali, so your attendance will be assisting the Charity effort the Bali Dynasty supports, namely the East Bali Poverty Project. The raffle is always a major draw with prizes including stays and flights to Bali courtesy of Air Asia and Garuda Indonesia.

Bali's Day of Silence "Nyepi" 2014
Saka New Year 1936 of Hindus

The Balinese Hindus do not celebrate the coming of the new year of Saka calendar with lavish party, they celebrate it with meditation instead. No activities are allowed to take place. These mandatory religious prohibitions include no pleasure (amati lelangon), no traffic (amati lelungan), no fire (amati geni) and no work (amati karya).

This year, Nyepi Day falls on 31 March 2014 and on Nyepi Day, we will not be able to accept any check-in or check-outs throughout the day.

Nyepi, the day of silence in Bali is an amazing time to be in Bali to learn about the reason behind this 24 hours of silence - and the festive parade on Nyepi Eve. Dynasty's Balinese-Hindu family is preparing our 'ogoh-ogoh' paper mache doll for our parade. Before we do that we ask as many hotel guests as possible to dress up in a sarong and head band and help us carry the Ogoh Ogoh.

Apart from being a lot of fun, it’s a great photo opportunity and a chance be a part of the Nyepi tradition. If you are with us at that time you are more than welcome to witness this ritual parade before dinner time. We will be gathering at the Kertagosa Ballroom 6pm on Sunday, 30 March 2014.

• The silence begins at 0:00 am of 31 March 2014 and will last for 24 hours
• All shops are closed on Nyepi Day
• Guests have to stay inside the resort area
• When listening to the music or watching TV in the room, keep the sound at a minimum level
• There will be no traffic on that day in the whole Bali island
• Ngurah Rai airport will be totally closed on 31 March 2014, so there will be neither arrival or departure in the airport on that day. All connecting airports around the globe have been informed in advance about this.
• Across Bali, the activities are allowed only in emergency rooms and maternity section of hospitals and the arrival section of airport. Any emergencies are taken into consideration and tolerated. The whole island is in silence.

However, operational activities and services in the resort will operate normally.

Get adventurous and drive around the country side on a powerful Quad bike...Bali Quad Discovery Tours will bring you to a place where other people don't go and you can explore the unspoiled, authentic part of Bali.

The tours combine a great experience of driving your own powerful off road 4-wheel motorcycle (or enjoying the ride while comfortably sitting on the back of the bike) with the opportunity to learn about the way the local people live. You will follow our experienced guides by driving between beautiful rice fields, pass the rain forest, drive up the mountain and cross some riverbeds. It doesn't matter if you have ever driven a quad bike before, as the bikes are user friendly, and everybody will get a detailed instruction and practice on the spot before you start our tours.
