Every 210 days according the Balinese Calendar every Temple and shrine has its dedication or inauguration day, which is considered it's birthday.
It was a colourful spectacle with all our staff dressed in traditional costumes, yes, even the Western staff too!
The Temple and surrounding areas were dressed with colourful pieces of ceremonial cloth, highly decorated bamboos (penjors), long flags (Umbul – Umbul), magnificent hand made fruit and flower offerings were on display in front of the temple along with beautifully decorated ornaments of young coconut leaves, coloured cakes, rice and other products of Bali.
A bamboo podium was specially built for the occasion for a local High Priest who came along to lead the ceremony.

Tour of the Month - Bali Agung Theatre
A new attraction at the Bali Safari & Marine Park is the breathtaking 'Bali Agung' Show.
With spectacular sound and lightning,“Bali Agung” was created and produced by an internationally acclaimed theatrical team with a 150 strong cast, which also includes an array of animals such as elephants, camels, eagles and tigers to make the show appear more realistic and magical.
‘Bali Agung’ is derived from the historic and legendary accounts of Sri Jaya Pangus, King of the unassailable Balingkang during the 12th Century. The story is based on the tragic love story of the King and his Chinese wife, Kang Ching Wie.
'Bali Agung' is held in one of the world’s largest performance stages, in front of magnificent sets.
The show features master puppeteer ‘I Made Sidia’, who’s puppet mastery is put into action during the production.
This spectacular show is highly recommended and can be booked through our Guest Activity Centre at the resort.
Our Star Performers
Every month we hold a staff gathering, where we celebrate our staff birthdays and present an update on new hotel products and services. Here are our winners for August 2010. These staff have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests. We also have a Guest Nomination Award and this award is chosen by our guests who fill in the guest nomination forms when they are departing the Resort after their holiday.
Congratulations once again go out to our Star performers this month.
Employee of the Month, Front of the House is Ruhadi.
Ruhadi can be seen as one of the barmen at the Sunset Bar.
He is the man always with a smile and Ruhadi makes a mean Cocktail.
Ruhadi has been with Bali Dynasty almost since it's opening and lives in Denpasar with his wife and two children.
Ruhadi enjoys playing football with his two sons in his free time.
Employee of the Month, Heart of the House is Wayan Ginten, or 'Gin' to his friends. Wayan has been with the resort since 1992 and works in the Food and Beverage Kitchen Department.
Wayan enjoys going to the beach with his family during his time off.
He has two children.
Our Guest Nomination this month is Dewa Tirta, a familiar face to many of you as he is always being commended for going the extra mile as a Waiter down at Tropical Café and the Pool area.
Formerly a trainee, Dewa has now secured full time work at the resort having been recognised for his excellent customer service and "many" guest nominations!
Congratulations to all our winners!
What the Guests Say
Our family would like to send a big thank-you to the staff that looked after us and made one day extra special, our daughter's birthday. A big thank-you to the staff that organized her name on the TV screens. And a big thank-you to those involved in organizing her cake. It was beautiful and she was totally surprised.
Can you please make sure our gratitude is passed onto all those involved. We will definitely stay at the Dynasty again. Mrs. S. & family
Thank you for my Kids Gang Club Newsletter it was good.
I had 3 great holidays at Bali Dynasty, I miss everyone. I'm now 13, and I hope we can come and visit you all again soon.
My very good friends are in Bali now, and will be at the Dynasty very soon
Please say hi from me they are S and JR....JR is in a wheelchair and is very cute.
They are staying at Dynasty because we said it was the best place to stay.
Love and miss you all Amy C, Australia (aged 13)
Thank you for your reply from our comments.
I have to say that after staying at the Bali Hyatt at Sanur for the following five days upon departing the Dynasty, traveling with three young children was certainly a pleasure at the Dynasty. Although the Hyatt was lovely, it was not the same as our stay with you. Small things like the children’s foot stool in the bathroom are what made the difference.
Keep up the good work and great value for money. Mrs. M, Australia
Craig "Huggy" Huggins, Australian Radio announcer of:Gold 104.3 Melbourne and Cruise 1323, Adelaide recently enjoyed a holiday at Bali Dynasty with his family.
This is what Craig had to say about his holiday.
“My wife Jenni and I enjoyed our second stay at the Bali Dynasty in September this year, however it had been eight years since our last visit, and what an amazing transformation it has been through. We had a fabulous time, my eight and 11 year old kids thoroughly enjoyed the activities, in fact my daughter won the Body board Race, and my son won cash in the Frog Race. (I even walked away with a Highest Splash title to my name).
The humm and ambience of the resort is second to none, helping to ensure a great atmosphere both at the pool area, and in the restaurants (where the food was delicious).
The staff at the Bali Dynasty were again terrific hosts and helped us with any query we had. They were more than friendly and obviously enjoy their roles very much. The room we stayed in was wonderful. It overlooked the pool, was very spacious, a terrific renovated main room and bathroom, and always in immaculate appearance after the daily visits from Housekeeping.
The daily activities were just enough to keep us busy and also give us plenty of relaxation time. My family and I look forward to our next visit to the Bali Dynasty which most certainly won't be as long away as last time.
My thanks to Robert and the team for a fantastic holiday at the Bali Dynasty Resort.
