Bali Dynasty Resort welcomed Kadek Mahardika

Bali Dynasty Resort was pleased to welcome Kadek Mahardika (famous for his starring in the Rhonda and Ketut adverts in Australia) with his beautiful wife Laura and their two children, Mila (3 y.o) and Lenny (5 months).

Kadek formally worked in early 2000 at the Bali Dynasty Resort as a cook helper before his rise to fame with the popular insurance ads with Rhonda. Now Kadek has found his new “Rhonda” and the tables have turned enabling Kadek to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Bali with his family. During his stay, he also got to meet some of his old friends, who are still working at the Bali Dynasty Resort.

Australian Media Fam Trip at Bali Dynasty Resort

The representatives from several Australian media recently participated in a media familiarisation trip hosted by TigerAir Australia, Bali Dynasty Resort, Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Bali Hai Diving Adventures and Bali Hai Cruises. There were the representatives from Woman’s Day Magazine, Mamamia, TigerTales Australia, Yahoo 7 Travel, Diveplanit, Out & About with Kids, Perth Community Newspapers and several freelance travel writers.

The familiarisation trip was organised to showcase the best of Bali’s tourism for family travellers or couples, and provide an in depth detail about what Bali has to offer for visitors in general.

During the four days familiarisation trip, the media experienced staying at the Bali Dynasty Resort which was recently awarded in the Top 10 Family Resorts in Bali in Holidays with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards 2016. They then went glamping to the all-tented boutique retreat Menjangan Dynasty Resort in Northwest Bali. They also discovered the exotic underwater world at the Menjangan Island by diving and snorkelling organised by Pasir Putih Dive and Watersport Centre managed by Bali Hai Diving Adventures. A cruise trip to Lembongan Island was provided by Bali Hai Cruise on the last day, where the media spent a day enjoying the exhilerating watersport activities and a leisurely break at its popular beach club.

All media enjoyed an excellent return flight service from Australia to Bali by TigerAir Australia, which started their flights to Bali from Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide on the 23rd of March this year. 

Charity Updates Help Friends for Life

Bali Dynasty Resort has been concerned for the past 20 years with its commitment to alleviating suffering and making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people in Bali. Having successfully raised over 3 Billion rupiah for its former charity project in conjunction with the East Bali Poverty project, the resort now turns to Solemen to support individuals in need through a commitment “Help Friends for Life”.

Since commencing with Solemen in February 2016, the charity effort has been successful in helping the disadvantaged with both long term support and one-off donations. The resort currently provides a full scholarship for an aspiring nurse student, a one year English course fee and a monthly medical fund for its adopted Solebuddies. In addition, much needed items were also donated, such as wheelchairs, a prosthetic leg, Pediasure milk, solar lights, mattress and many more.

The new charity has received a positive response from the resort guests who are attracted to the personal nature of each case and the feeling that they really are making a difference.

With the favourable results of the charity effort, Bali Dynasty Resort and Solemen will continue to bring smiles to many individuals in need. A few projects have been agreed, such as providing car to help the Outreach team to reach out to the disadvantaged in remote areas, providing more medical assessment and having a fun day for the kids to name but a few.

Singapore Airlines is to fly direct from Indonesia to Australia

Singapore Airlines has unveiled plans for a significant expansion of its operations in Indonesia, including the launch of direct flights between Jakarta and Sydney.

The new route, which is still subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to commence on 23 November 2016 and will be operated three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) using a Boeing 777 aircraft.

Flights on the new Jakarta-Sydney route will depart the Indonesian capital at 2225 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and arrive in Sydney at 0930 the next day. Return flights will leave the Australian city every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1100 and arrive back in Jakarta at 1435. T

Bali Welcomes More Japanese Tourists in 2016

Bali has officially become a favoured holiday destination for the Japanese. As many as 154,597 Japanese tourists visited the island between January and August 2016, a significant upsurge of 7.98 percent from the same period last year. This number puts Japan in third place in the ranking of countries that supply the most number of tourists to Bali, after Australia and China.

Tumpek Kandang is a special day filled with dedicated blessings for animals, livestock and pets. Various offerings are made to the Hindu god Rudra for successful farming and animal welfare, aimed at the harmony of the environment and which contributes to human sustenance and happiness.

The day is part of a series of other Tumpek days aimed at the blessings of different subjects, namely Tumpek Uduh for plants, Tumpek Landep for metal objects and tools, Tumpek Kuningan for ancestral spirits, Tumpek Wayang for wayang shadow puppets and Tumpek Krulut for traditional gamelan music instruments – all which occur in a 210-day cycle on the calendar.
