To facilitate the construction project at the Ngurah Rai International airport, the entrance and exit have been moved.

The old entrance to the south of Ngurah Rai Airport road is closed and has now moved to the north side of the airport on Jalan Kemayoran. The new entrance has also become the exit.

The transfer was made because the old entrance and exit will be used as access for heavy vehicles transporting project materials. Signs have been erected in order to facilitate the new entrance to airport users.

Ngurah Rai Airport is being developed to increase passenger capacity, and the building of a new international terminal is currently in process.

With this new terminal, the capacity will increase from 8 million people per year to 25 million people per year. The airport development project is targeted for completion in 2013.

With the tropical climate, making the risk of picking up some bug more likely, as well as perhaps the lower safety standards (ie pavements) than would be expected at home, the risks of injury are obviously much higher. 

We would also like to remind you that should you hire a motorcycle and you are not holding a valid international driving license then even if you have insurance, this will be nul and void for any accident that might have occurred in conjunction with riding a motorcycle.

As in previous years the event will kick off at Sunset Bar where individuals will be allocated into different teams to perform various challenges. Every year we ask you to support this worthy cause. 
As usual the money raised at the event is used to help the poor kids of North Eastern Bali, so your attendance will be assisting the Charity effort the Bali Dynasty supports, namely the East Bali Poverty Project.

Gladys was recognised for her loyalty at the recent appreciation party.

It was exactly her 400^th night stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort with over 29 visits under her belt!

The auspicious date of 11.11.11 was chosen by Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts to role out its’ new vision amongst all its’ hotels throughout Indonesia.

The new Vision “PRIME” which means People Responsible Individually for Managing Excellence, has emerged through detailed research amongst all team members which identified that staff at the lowest level really want to play an active role in delighting customers as well as  a recognition by management that involving staff in the decision making can really impact guest service delivery as well as impacting revenues and bottom lines for the hotels.

In order to support this new vision Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts has invested considerably with the assistance of an external consultant to develop new tools and initiatives which will assist team members carry out the new vision. Examples are “Excellence Tools” that clarify the responsibility each team member plays, quantifies their expected contribution and clearly details how each task is done. In addition to this, new training programmes have been developed, supported by videos to encourage staff to present their ideas and suggestions and empower them to take actions to delight customers.

The Bali Dynasty Resort held the launch party on the 11.11.11 in conjunction with its' annual staff party to celebrate the launch of the new Vision.

We recently visited our Charity Project in Pengalusan in North Eastern Bali and presented them with the 50 desk chairs that had been donated by many of our guests following our fundraising awareness that appeared on our facebook, website and in this newsletter.

The kids were delighted to receive their much need new desk chairs! Each chair is enscribed on the back with the name of the guest who donated the chair. Each child was told to take personal responsibility for their chairs. Each guest that made a donation will soon be receiving a picture of the chair they sponsored and a picture of the kid who is now responsible for looking after their chair!

It's a great way to personalise the donation and a great way for the kids to understand a sense of personal responsibility!
