1. Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub Kuta

Popular amongst the Irish community in Bali, Gracie Kelly’s, a traditional Irish Pub restaurant located just in front of Bali Dynasty Resort, Gracie Kelly’s is a perfect alternative for your working from Bali days.

Come along and enjoy tasty dishes from a classic pub style menu of home-cooked food that will have you coming back for more. Fabulous Team Member: Sri Sasrawati

We have been asking some of our fabulous team members at Bali Dynasty Resort to sit down for a quick chat to see how they are holding up during the Pandemic.  Times have surely been difficult for everyone and we have been doing our very best to use the time wisely to ensure that our team are ready to welcome you with the same friendly service that you remember! We have also been using the time to train and cross train to learn new skills and gain further career skills even after the pandemic. Here we sit down with Sri Sasrawati to see what she has been up to.

Name, age (if you want to tell us) and where were you born?
I am Sri Sasrawati, I am 45 years young, and born in Singaraja, Bali.

Do you have family here? (We include your furry friends into this question).
I do, I am living with my husband, 3 kids, and our other 5 kids (2 dogs and 3 hens).

How many years have you worked for Bali Dynasty Resort?
I have been part of the Bali Dynasty Resort family for 23 years, and have no plans to go anywhere else.

Nineteenth of March 2020. When you first heard of the Bali “stay at home” / #dirumahaja regulation what went through your head?
Honestly, my first thought was “Emergency! Fasten your seat belt”. This is the first time in my entire life I face this kind of situation. Every worst scenario runs in my head. I got a panic attack at the beginning, like, whether I would lose my job, or would my savings be able to cover me and my family throughout the years.

What was your company’s reaction to this regulation?
Thank GOD, the Company where I work at still keeping  calm while patiently coordinate with all employees to adhere with the regulations while in the same time finding win win solutions for either the company itself and all employees.

What backup measures did you start putting in place when the writing was on the wall? (Covid 19 regulations were extended).
Just keep reminding myself that all the regulations won’t work unless I cooperate accordingly. So, follow the drill, obediently wear a mask at anytime anywhere, wash your hands, keep your physically distance!

What was your mental state and how did you move forward into a more positive attitude?
The first few weeks into the pandemic I was nervous and terrified. I worried over every little thing very easily, tearful. I got nervous when I was in the room with more than 2 persons and some other silly things. Gladly over the months with more knowledge through reading some articles I became calmer. Seeing that I am a working mother and wife, I must have my own strategy to harmonize with the family in regard how to get through this pandemic safely.

Finally, what are you doing now?
Continue working with Bali Dynasty Resort. I have just got a brilliant opportunity to learn about marketing and helping sales and marketing team for handing social media.

Actually I choose this hotel because it has the kids club & close to the beach. I was so surprised with the kids club, kids pool & kids activities there. My children were so happy & satisfied. The room is big and it has a sofa bed, it's really for the family with 2 kids. The beach is clean & just for the hotel guest. We'll definitely will go back to the hotel if we visit Bali again. It’s a nice resort with a water park . Stayed there for 3 nights . Big property & there is an Indian restaurant besides the resort name “Queens” which is great for Indians. You will find market , spa salon , tattoo studio etc. near the resort. Heersaga INDIA
