CHARITY UPDATE - Meet our SoleTeddy

In an effort to help the people in need, Bali Dynasty Resort & Solemen launched the SoleTeddy. Bearing HOPE BALI on its shirt, this cute teddy bear is one of the many ways we do fundraising to give hope and alleviate the suffering of our fellow SoleBuddies.

This cute teddy bear is available at the Tour & Information Centre. Adopt and take this cute teddy bear home with a minimum donation of IDR 150,000 for the charity. Your donation will go to Solemen Foundation in our effort to help friends for life.

You can also have fun while helping others by participating in the twice-a-week Gracie Kelly’s Charity Quiz Nights every Tuesday and Thursday. The Quiz Nights are so popular that we manage to raise funds to support some requests for wheelchairs, prosthetic legs, education and much more.

Bali Aims to Become a Medical Tourism Destination

Bali is now aiming to become a prominent medical tourism destination. Bali provincial administration is now constructing a new hospital that will be equipped with world-class facilities in Sanur. The project started last year on 2.95-hectare plot of land in Sanur and is expected to finish this year. The hospital will be able to accommodate 176 inpatients.

The hospital would be equipped with high-standard facilities, including for bariatric surgery. The hospital is also designed as an integrated cancer treatment centre with facilities for radiodiagnostics, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine.

A therapy centre for the elderly is also part of the plan. As many pensioners from across the world opt to spend their time in Bali, the hospital is expected to provide a quality service for the elderly. To meet the demand for alternative medicine, the hospital will also contain health spa facilities, a traditional herbal treatment centre and an acupuncture therapy service.

Menjangan Dynasty Resort Brings Glamping to North Bali

Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Beach Camp and Dive Centre will soon open its doors in North Bali in August 2016.

Offering a glamorous camping (otherwise known as “glamping”) experience in the unspoilt area of Banyuwedang, the resort features 24 beach camp tents, 2 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom cliff tent villas which are African Safari tents imported from South Africa. All tents are completed with flat screen TVs & DVD players, minibar, safe deposit box, IDD telephones, hairdryer and full bathroom amenities, in tent bathroom/shower rooms.

There is a large 158sqm infinity swimming pool on a small cliff that overlooks   the Bambu Beach Club & Bar where guests can enjoy  refreshing cocktails whilst watching the sunset on the horizon. The cliff tent villas, moreover, enjoy the luxury of having their own private infinity pools.

Getting to all the facilities from your tent is easy as the resort organises a seamless buggy service to navigate around the resort. There will also be 24 hour room service, a tour desk, transportation service and wedding facilities.

Bali Events

Locally known as 'Pesta Kesenian Bali', the Bali Arts Festival, which interestingly takes place from every second Saturday of June to the second Saturday of July, is a yearly celebration of exhibitions and performances of various kinds of artworks and cultural achievements. This year will be its 38th event which will start on 11 June until 9 July 2016.

The opening will be held at Niti Mandala Renon square. Daily performances and exhibitions will be in Denpasar Art Centre, approximately 30 minutes from Bali Dynasty Resort.

Saraswati Day, 25th of June

On the 25th of June, the Balinese people will celebrate Saraswati Day, a day devoted to Dewi Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, Art and Literature. To mark this joyous day, books of knowledge, manuscripts and the Vedas are blessed and special offerings are made together with aspirations for knowledge and wisdom. The day is the first in a series of five important religious highlights.

Banyu Pinaruh, 26th of June

Banyu Pinaruh is the immediate day after Saraswati, which falls on Sunday, 26th of June. The morning typically sees Balinese Hindus heading to the nearest beaches either for weekend family leisure and cleansing or purification purposes by bathing in the sea.

Pagerwesi, 29th of June

Pagerwesi is the day when the Balinese strengthen their minds and souls against evil forces. Etymologically Pagerwesi derives from the two Balinese words “pager” and “wesi”, which means fence and iron respectively. The iron fence is a symbol of strong self-protection and on Pagerwesi the Balinese focuses on building a strong personal fortification to ensure that evil doesn't enter their minds, speech and deeds.

In many regions in Bali, Pagerwesi is considered to be a really important holiday which is celebrated excessively in a similar fashion to Galungan Day.

For example, the normal redemption value for a deluxe room is 3,000 points however during this promotion period a night in the deluxe room can be redeemed at only 1,500 points on the 4th night or more.
