For New Year’s Eve, Bali Dynasty Resort will present its “Casino Royale” Party, a stylish celebration inspired by the classic James Bond film. There will be free flow cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks for one-hour, a delicious international buffet dinner, and non-stop entertainment performances including a live band, DJ music, professional dancers and a lucky draw with fabulous prizes to be won! Back to Bali Dynasty 2019

Mark your calendar for our biggest annual fundraising event, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party 2019. Scheduled for Saturday, 9^th February 2019, this fun evening will be held at Leederville Oval – 246 Vincent St, Leederville.

Now in its 26^th year, this gathering of likeminded Bali lovers will also give you the opportunity to participate in a worthy cause. As our major fundraising event, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party hopes to raise some much-needed funds to alleviate the suffering of disadvantaged individuals through our collaborative with Solemen Indonesia.

Djakarta Warehouse Project Hits Bali

The annual Djakarta Warehouse Project dance music festival, now known as DWPX, will celebrate its tenth edition by heading to Bali. An amazing line-up sprinkled with international musicians from all over the world will be appearing.

The Weeknd will be performing for the first time in Indonesia exclusively at DWPX. There will also be Alesso, one of the biggest names in the world of dance music with more than 1.5 billion streams. Armin van Buuren will be bringing trance sounds to the festival and other performers such as DJs Snake, Porter Robinson and RL Grime are all expected to hit the stage. Electronic trio, Major Lazer Soundsystem, will complete the first phase line-up.

Galungan Festivities                                                                                                     

Galungan is an important religious holiday for followers of the Hindu faith that enlivens the whole island of Bali. It marks the beginning of a 10-day festival that essentially celebrates the universal victory of good against evil. The Balinese also believe that Galungan is when the gods and the spirits of deceased ancestors come down to earth to pay a visit. 

This year, Galungan falls on 26^th December 2018 in accordance to an ancient calendar system that consists of 210 days. Advance preparations involve making elaborate offerings and the ritual slaughter of pigs for a customary feast. Tall bamboo shrines decorated with coconut palm fronds are also erected in the streets and add colour to the occasion.

Galungan Day itself will see Balinese Hindus head home to their ancestral villages to pray in family and community temples. It is a time of togetherness when extended families reunite, enjoy traditional food and connect over shared religious values. A series of ceremonial rituals will be carried out over the follow days and the festivities draw to a close on Kuningan Day. Special offerings will be prepared to honour defied ancestors and symbolically bid farewell as their spirits ascend back to heaven.  

Charity Update

Bali Dynasty Resort is always committed to support Solemen’s mission to help the disadvantaged in Bali in myriad ways. Our voluntary 2$ per stay programme is one of the steady sources of funding to Solemen. The SoleHouse accommodating Solebuddies and their families who need housing during pre and post operations at Sanglah hospital. In addition, we sponsor several Solebuddies who need help with medical treatments or supplies, or need a little boost to continue their education. We also help to provide the use of vehicle so some of our Solebuddies who need transportation, can go to their treatments or appointments from their homes.

We would like to thank all of our guests for their generous donations and support of our Charity Effort. This has enabled us to drive our sustainable social commitment programme and in turn help the disadvantaged people of Bali. We also conduct plenty of fundraising within the resort, through everyday poolside games, donation boxes and there’s our twice-weekly Charity Quiz Night at Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub, held every Tuesday at 7.30pm and Thursday at 8.45pm, where everyone is welcome. Our biggest annual fundraising initiative is the yearly Back to Bali Dynasty Party. The next party is scheduled on 9^th February 2019 in Perth. We hope to see you there!
