Golden Lotus is Upgraded!

We are pleased to announce that Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant has recently been upgraded with a brand new interior, food presentation and overall standards of excellence to continue delivering an exemplary dining experience to guests of this popular Chinese eatery, which is located at the Resort.

The interior upgrade showcases a new decor and furnishings, which are in total harmony with the restaurant’s classic Chinese dining style. The central high ceiling has been repainted in black with a beautiful set of traditional red lanterns as its focal point. The transformation of the ceiling also features additional lighting to ensure a brighter view across the room, thus further enhancing the restaurant’s warm atmosphere.

The restaurant retains its large circular wooden tables of varying sizes, which are perfect for groups of diners or for families, paired with plush upholstered chairs. Adjacent to the main dining area are four private rooms, separated or linked by a foldable partition, offering the versatility to serve as private dining rooms that can easily be transformed into a meeting space afterwards, thereby making Golden Lotus an alternative venue of choice for corporate meetings.

To complement the upgrade, Golden Lotus has further elevated the high standard of its food presentation and quality. Each dish is prepared with no added MSG and is served in generous portions. Even the small portions can serve up to three people. New dim sum items have been introduced, including steamed and fried prawns, pork and beef based dim sum, boosting the restaurant’s already-extensive dim sum lunch, which now comprises over 55 choices of dim sum selections.

We look forward to welcoming you at the newly upgraded Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant

Tasty Abalone until March at Golden Lotus

Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant will be offering delicious abalone in three preparations from 1 January 2018 until 31 March 2018.

Golden Lotus’s abalones are available in three different preparations:

  • Steamed sliced abalone with prawn dumplings in Oyster Sauce
  • Braised abalone and baby bok choy in Szechuan Sauce
  • Braised abalone and jellyfish in Golden Lotus’s Thai Sauce

Each dish is only IDR 120,000 nett per portion, including rice and serving up to 2 people.

Bali Dynasty Resort Received Two Awards in Tri Hita Karana Awards

Bali Dynasty Resort was recently awarded the Platinum II Medal during the 2017 Tri Hita Karana (THK) Awards & Accreditation in Denpasar, Bali. The award was given in recognition of our significant achievements in incorporating sustainable spiritual, social and environmental principles and practices to our business. We also received the Platinum Medal last year.

Our Public Relations Manager, Gede Agus Mahardana, also won the PR Simpatik 2017 for Manager Level, an award dedicated to public relations practitioners in the hospitality industry for their contribution in advocating the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in their business internally and externally.

Tri Hita Karana is the traditional life philosophy of the Balinese community in their quest to accomplish secular and spiritual bliss through the harmonious relationship amongst humans (‘pawongan’), and between humans and God (‘parahyangan’), and humans and the environment (‘palemahan’). We have implemented the Tri Hita Karana principles in our business practices and policy in keeping with the local cultural and spiritual beliefs, and in our efforts – through our partnership with Solemen – to make a difference to those less fortunate who have not benefitted from the island’s tourism revenue. On the environmental side, the Resort is committed to operate at a high environmental standard, organising a monthly and annual general clean-up programme with its staff, making the effort to grow and nurture rare plants in its garden, and working closely with the ‘banjar’ (Balinese local community) to create a green, clean and safe environment for the comfort of its guests.

Bali News

Should we still travel to Bali?

The looming question after Indonesia’s Mount Agung eruption remains the same: Is it still safe to travel to Bali? The answer to this is a big yes provided you stay outside of the 10-kilometre danger zone. That is according to the recent statement by Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman for Indonesia’s National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB).

In a social media statement, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho dispels a rumour stating Mount Agung almost entirely covers the whole island as a fallacy. He clarified that Mount Agung only sits on one corner of the island. His statement also came with an assurance that Bali is still a very safe place to travel and that the airport is now fully operational after flight cancellations and closure following the volcano’s eruption almost a month ago.

As of now, Bali remains a safe place to travel except for the 10-kilometre danger zone around Mount Agung. In fact, some Bali hotels and resorts have initiated support towards the #VISITBALI campaign by the Bali Tourism Board and others are even offering refunds for your stay in the event of airport closure. Do note that the volcanic activity can be unpredictable, so it’s best to check the latest update and purchase travel insurance that should cover you in case you’re affected by a possible eruption.

Passenger Service Charge at Bali Airport Increased

Starting from 1 January 2018, the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) or Airport Tax for international passengers at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport will be increased from the current IDR 200,000 to IDR 225,000. This applies to tickets issued on/after 1 January 2018.

If you purchase your tickets before the 1 January 2018, you are charged IDR 200,000 for the PSC. If you reissue your tickets due to a change on the travel date and the reissuance is done after the 1 January 2018, you will pay the tax difference.

This increase is aimed to ensure the airport is able to deliver a better service to the international passengers. Please note that the airport officials will not collect the PSC at the counter upon departure. PSC is already included in your flight tickets.
