New Kids Facility – Pupa Toddler Room

We are delighted to present our newest facility, the 'Pupa' Toddler Room, carefully crafted for children aged 4 years and below. Interesting fact - In Indonesian, "Pupa" means cocoon.

This newly opened facility is open every day from 9am to 6pm, providing complimentary services exclusively for our lovely guests at Bali Dynasty Resort. This air-conditioned room ensures you can take a break from the warmth of the day, offering a safe and comfortable place for your little ones to play and relax.

Please note that our Pupa Toddler Room is unsupervised. If you wish to use the services of a babysitter, we advise you to contact our front desk for assistance.

Cultural Event

Galungan & Kuningan Day

Galungan Day is one of the religious celebrations for Hindus throughout Indonesia. This holy day is celebrated every six months based on the Balinese calendar, or every 210 days. In 2024, Galungan Day is commemorated on the 28th of February and the 25th of September.

Galungan Day is a religious celebration for Hindus to commemorate the creation of the universe and all its contents. Additionally, it is also a time to celebrate the victory of dharma (goodness) over adharma (evil). As an expression of gratitude, Hindus celebrate Galungan Day by making offerings to Sang Hyang Widhi (God) and all their manifestations. During this day, Hindus usually make a "Penjor," a type of bamboo that is decorated based on Balinese tradition and placed in front of their homes, serving as offerings to Bhatara Mahadewa.

Ten days after Galungan day is Kuningan, which is part of the Galungan series of holidays celebrated a few days after Galungan. The word Kuningan comes from the word "uning," which means "remember." Kuningan also comes from the word "yellow," which means "prosperous."

Generally, on Kuningan Day, offerings containing tamiang and endongan symbols are used, where tamiang symbolizes protection and the rotation of the wheels of nature, while endongan means supplies. The most important supply in navigating life is knowledge, while the most powerful is peace of mind.

Other offerings include Ter and Sampian Gantung. Ter is a symbol of an arrow or weapon because its shape resembles an arrow, while Sampian Gantung serves as a symbol of repelling bad luck.

On Kuningan Day, yellow rice is also made as a symbol of prosperity, and offerings are presented as a sign of our gratitude as humans who receive gifts from Sang Hyang Widhi (God).

Additionally, the implementation of the Kuningan Day ceremony carried out before noon also has its own meaning that the ancestors have returned to heaven.

Food, Hotels & Tourism Exhibition

Every two years Bali is host to the FHT exhibition which showcases the latest Domestic and International Hospitality industry products.

We are excited to announce that our Kitchen staff will be competing in the event’s prestigious cooking competition. The competition will bring together industry leaders, talented chefs, and hospitality management.

The exhibition is on the 6th to the 8th March at the Nusa Dua Convention Center, and we will be bringing you the results and a complete write up of the event in next month’s newsletter.

Charity Update

Bali Dynasty Resort – ‘Helping Friends for Life’ is now assisting to raise money for Natallia to assist so she can graduate to break the chain of poverty.

Natalia, 18 years old, she is now in grade 12 or the third year of senior high school in Badung.

She only has five months left at school as of February in order to graduate from a senior high school. She will graduate from a senior high school this June if all goes well.

Natalia is the older of two. She lives only with her little sister, their parents when Natalia was nine years old. Her mother left the family and unfortunately could never come back, leaving Natalia and her sister to fend for themselves since their father was also absent. Natalia’s father rarely goes back home to give them money so they have had to support themselves through odd jobs and the community. Natalia and her sister might as well be orphans due to the sever neglect and abandonment by their parents

Unfortunately, she still could not pay about 7,030,000 IDR of her school fees. So, she was not allowed to attend school anymore as she could not pay her fees. Natalia simply wants to survive and finish school and have a better chance in the future to get a job or continue to tourism school, she thinks her parents’ lack of education most probably affect their tragic lives. Natalia does not want to repeat her parents’ footsteps, and she hopes she could at least graduate from a senior high school.

We are proud to announce that with your incredible help we have raised enough funds for Made Novianti for the remainder of her schooling and to be able to graduate in 2025 as planned.

This programme is part of the Dynasty Rewards programme. You will earn points starting from 100 points for every booking you refer. These points will be added to your Rewards Account once your referee has checked out, which means you have the opportunity to earn points faster even when you are not in the resort but you must make sure that the person you are referring includes your Rewards Membership number when making the reservation!
