• Covid recovery certificate is now accepted with terms and conditions applied.
• PCR test on arrival will only apply to those that show symptoms or have a temperature of 37.5 of higher during the health monitoring on arrival
• Quarantine in a CHSE hotel/resort/villa still applies to international arrivals who test positive or are not fully vaccinated
• Still require a negative PCR test before your departure to Bali
• Health insurance with specific COVID coverage is still required
• Proof of vaccination still required or exemption or recovery certificate.
• eHAC  no longer required for international travelers but still required for domestic travel.
• Issues with PeduliLindungi - airport ground staff will assist, just ensure you have signed up and downloaded the app on your phone before arriving in Bali. 
• Visa Exemption Arrangement ( Free) now available to passport holders from 9 countries. Only valid for 30 days and cannot be extended

These are the pre-flight checklist that you need to prepare:

• PeduliLindungi App (e-Hac is no longer required)
• Vaccine certificate for Either 2 Doses or 3 Doses ( Booster) are accepted.
• PCR Test with a negative result 48hrs before departure to Bali for all visitors including infants - needs to be a paper based copy in English.
• Completed e-Customs form
• Immigration documents ( Passport, Visa, Stay Permit) : Nationality Passport which is valid and still valid for at least 6 months, A return ticket or a one-way ticket to continue the journey to another country. for VOA &eVISA holders, Other required documents in accordance with the provisions of the Head of the Covid-19 Task Force Handling.
• Accommodation bookings at your favorite hotels/ villas. For international arrivals who are resident in Indonesia ( both Indonesian passport holders and foreign passport holders) who have not been able to get vaccinated or have received the first dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are required to quarantine for 5 x 24 hours in a CHSE hotel/villa/resort.

Cultural Events in Bali - Galungan

Who doesn’t know Galungan? As everyone knows, Galungan is one of the most important Balinese festivals, is the culmination of celebrations held in honor of the creator and ancestral spirits. According to Balinese-Hinduism, the creator of the universe is Ida Sang Hyang Widi. During these celebrations, it is believed that spirits of the ancestors return to the earth, thus marking the start of a number of Balinese festivals. Every year, Balinese-Hinduism celebrate Galungan twice a year, which is normally celebrated over 10 days in all temples across the island, including all temples in Kuta and even at the beautiful and peaceful temple located just outside Bali Dynasty Resort’s in font of Kuta Beach. The name of the temple is called Pura Dalem Tunon located just outside the resort.

In a short brief about Galungan celebration in Bali, this festival is the celebration of good and the overcoming of evil; the victory of Dharma and the defeat of Adharma. With the return of these ancestral spirits to their former homes, the locals are expected to demonstrate kindness through making offerings and chanting prayers.

If you are travelling during the GalunganFestival in Bali, you’ll notice that ‘penjors’ are all over the place including in Kuta and our resort, Bali Dynasty Resort. The bamboo poles locally referred to as ‘penjor’, are used to hang offerings as a kind gesture towards the spirits. The poles have colourful decorations that will often include fruit, flowers, and leaves from the coconut tree. The offerings, on the other hand, will consist of special foods, scented flowers, and woven palm offerings.

Balinese is also running several ceremonies couple of days before and after the celebrations, each ceremony on the set of activities carried out in honor of the Galungan celebrations. The dates will vary from year to year simply because Balinese traditional ceremonies are observed in line with the Balinese calendar. This year Galungan will be celebrated on 8th of June 2022.
