We are also delighted to announce that the 25th ‘Back to Bali Dynasty Party’ will be held on 10 February 2018 in Perth, so we look forward to seeing you there. The Bali Dynasty Resort
Bali Airport & Mount Agung update:
At the time of this newsletter being released, the activity of Mount Agung has prompted officials to temporarily close Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport for the safety of all travellers. The decision was taken after careful consideration by national aviation authorities, the Centre for Geological Disaster Mitigation and the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre. While the sun is shining and there is little sign of volcanic ash in the southern regions of Bali, evidence of volcanic ash at higher altitudes on aviation approach and departure paths has prompted the decision to close the airport. The decision is under continuous review and further information will follow in due course.
Officials advise that people in south Bali - an area some 60-70 kilometres from the volcano - are in no direct threat from the volcano’s eruption. Bali Airport and Bali Dynasty Resort are located 75 kilometres away from Mount Agung. The “danger zone” is a small area within a radius of approximately 10 kilometres from Mount Agung’s crater.

We suggest our guests contact their airlines' representatives and travel agents in regards to the disruption of flights and accommodation. Back to Bali Dynasty Party 2018 – a Silver Celebration
Mark your calendar for our biggest annual fundraising event, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party 2018. Scheduled for Saturday, 10 February 2018, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party will return to the Subi Sports Bar in Perth, Western Australia.
This will be the 25th year of the event. In celebration of this milestone, we are preparing a special silver-themed gala night as well as some great benefits for those who attend the evening.
Attending the event will also give you the opportunity to participate in a noble cause. Being our major fundraising event, the Back to Bali Dynasty Party will raise the much needed funds to alleviate the suffering of individuals in Bali through a collaborative work between Bali Dynasty Resort and Solemen Indonesia. More details of the charity are available in the Charity section below.
As always, you can expect to see some of your favourite Bali Dynasty Resort staff in attendance. Guess what, Cebolino is attending too!

Your kids will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and receive Christmas presents if you book our Christmas Day Lunch.
The theme for our New Year’s Eve Party is ‘Pirates in Paradise’, with a great buffet dinner, entertainment and party novelties to welcome 2018. While the parents are busy with the New Year’s Eve Party, kids can also join their own Kids’ New Year Party in our Nusa Penida Room.

It is never too early to plan for your holiday, especially when great discounts are available for early bookings! Our Early Bird Offer allows you to enjoy the discounts on selected room types when you book your stay at least 90 days before arrival, valid for travel period up to 30 June 2018.
On top of this discount, you are entitled to a South Kuta Passport Mobile App and Booklet benefits, which will provide you with discounts in numerous restaurants & attractions in South Kuta.
Dynasty Rewards’ Half Points Redemption Extended!
In the past few weeks we received some inquiries about the possibility of extending our current Half Points Redemption for Dynasty Rewards members. We are happy to tell you that the promotion has been extended until 31 March 2018. Blackout dates apply.
With Half Points Redemption, any Dynasty Rewards members can redeem their stay at HALF of the normal point redemption rate! Pay for a minimum of 3 nights, and then redeem the additional nights at 50% off the normal point redemption rate.
For example, the normal redemption value for a deluxe room is 3,000 points, however, during this promotion period a night in the deluxe room can be redeemed for only 1,500 points on the 4th night or more.

The Half Points Redemption only applies to the fourth consecutive night of the same redeemed stay. Please be reminded that there are no refunds or credits for unused portions of fourth night free redemptions.

Kids’ Birthday Parties with High Flyers Trapeze
Are you looking for something exciting and out of ordinary to celebrate your kid’s birthday? Holding a Kid’s Birthday Party at High Flyers Trapeze School is the perfect solution.
Located within the garden of Bali Dynasty Resort, High Flyers offers a Kid’s Birthday Party with super fun activities. With the package, kids can enjoy the thrill and excitement of the trapeze lesson for 1 hour, then have some fun in the Resort’s Kids’ Water Fun Zone and finally have a good time enjoying the kids’ birthday lunch at H2O.
The package starts from IDR 2,400K for 8 up to 10 children, which is perfect for a great birthday celebration.
Since 2016, Bali Dynasty Resort has been reaching out to the less fortunate people in Bali through a charity project called “Help Friends for Life” in partnership with Solemen. Through this initiative, Bali Dynasty Resort seeks more subjective ways to alleviate the suffering of those who are impoverished and desperately need our help in the way of medical support, health care, education and therapy, as well as by providing items or equipment that can give them a better life and wellbeing.
Through our fundraising efforts, Bali Dynasty Resort has raised in excess of IDR 410 million (over USD 30,000) for this project. The fund has enabled us to support many SoleBuddies with their ongoing long-term care and education, while at the same time helping many individuals with one-off donations, such as wheelchairs, prosthetic legs and medical treatment.
As the charity effort progressed this year, we were able to sponsor bigger projects, including providing a Solemen Car, which transports the needy and their families from the remote areas of Bali to the hospital; funding the Solemen House – a four bedroom haven for poor patients and their families to stay at no cost; and sponsoring the shower and toilet project for an impoverished community in North Bali, giving 26 people access to basic and proper hygiene.
We thank all of our guests for their generous donations and support of our Charity Effort, which has enabled us to provide a sustainable social commitment to help the disadvantaged people in Bali. Our upcoming fundraising activities will be at the Back to Bali Dynasty Party on 10 February 2018 in Perth, which is our biggest annual fundraising effort. In addition, we also accomplish a lot of fundraising within the Resort, through everyday poolside games, donation boxes around the Resort, the voluntary $2 donation when checking out, and the twice-weekly Charity Quiz Night at Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub, held every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm, at which everyone is welcome.
AirAsia Indonesia launched Wi-Fi and Inflight Entertainment Service
AirAsia Indonesia officially launched its Wi-Fi and inflight entertainment service named ROKKI. The service is in collaboration with internet service provider Indosat Ooredoo Business, and will be available on selected domestic and international flights code-named QZ.
To use the ROKKI service, passengers must activate the Wi-Fi feature on their mobile phone or tablet, then connect their device to WiFi AirAsia-ROKKI and access the website www.rokki.com to enjoy inflight entertainment, such as films and music, and view the shopping catalogue.
The Wi-Fi service is currently available on AirAsia Indonesia's PK-AXV aircraft, which serve flights to domestic and international destinations, including Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore and Macau.
Passengers will be able to identify whether their flight is equipped with the service by stickers placed on their seats as well as an announcement from the cabin crew. (Source: The Jakarta Post)
The Denpasar Festival, held in Bali’s provincial capital, is set to return for the ninth time from 28 - 31 December 2017. The event will be centred in Puputan Badung Square and will host various kinds of performances as well as local culinary delights. Denpasar is located around 30 minutes’ drive from Bali Dynasty Resort.
Tour of the Month - Underwater Tour with Marine Walk
The Marine Walk takes place off the west coast of Lembongan Island, approximately 30km southeast of the Bali mainland. The tour takes you four to six metres underwater, as you wear specially designed helmets that allow you to remain submerged – a fun alternative for those who don’t dive.
Bali Marine Walk is a great underwater activity for divers and non-divers alike, as it provides a different perspective and experience to diving. Walking on the ocean bed, a site specifically selected because it is clear enough for walking yet surrounded by a reef brimming with a diverse marine life, marine walkers get to view and interact with colourful schools of fish.
Bali Marine Walk tour starts off at Serangan Harbor, from where a boat speeds you to Lembongan Island in approximately 30 – 45 minutes. Arriving at the white sands of Lembongan, Bali Marine Walk is proud to offer adventure packages for a variety of different groups and a wide range of activities that will fit any adventurer’s wish list. As an appreciation for your support in referring people to stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort, we have launched the Referral Programme which will allow you to collect points by referring new guests to stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort.
This programme is part of the Dynasty Rewards programme. You will earn points starting from 100 points for every booking you refer. These points will be added to your Rewards Account once your referee has checked out, which means you have the opportunity to earn points faster even when you are not in the resort but you must make sure that the person you are referring includes your Rewards Membership number when making the reservation!
