We’re pleased to announce that our new Family Suites will be available in May, each suite offering the perfect accommodation for a family as it can sleep up to 5 adults. Mother’s Day is coming and Ashoka Spa has prepared some special treatments for all mothers. In this edition you can also read about Gracie Kelly’s and an exciting new tour activity within Bali’s beautiful natural landscape.

Just a reminder, if you haven’t signed up for the Dynasty Rewards, then now is the time to do so. Dynasty Rewards was designed as an appreciation of your loyalty to stay with us, allowing you to earn points on room nights and other in-the-resort spending. New Family Suites Available in May

The brand new Family Suites will be available in May and ready to welcome family travellers as each suite can sleep up to 5 adults.

From the designers of the fully renovated Executive Suites, the Family Suite rooms present modern touches and comforts for families. Each Family Suite measures 80m2 and is set to provide more privacy and space with double balconies overlooking the Resort’s inner tropical garden.

Each room features a master bedroom and a separate living room, which can easily be converted to a second bedroom with the addition of the Murphy beds (or pull-down twin beds). The room also comprises two bathrooms, as there is now a separate en suite shower room and toilet for the kids. A kitchenette equipped with a microwave, toaster, fridge and water dispenser is incorporated in the living room.

Bali’s First and Only Original Irish Pub

South Kuta beach strip, with its numerous chic restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities, is home to a little-yet-bold touch of the Emerald Isle. Located in the lower lobby of our resort, Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub welcomes all guests who wish to experience a true taste of Ireland in Bali.

As you walk through the wooden doors, you’ll immediately feel that you have been transported to another place and time. The interior adopts the theme of a traditional Irish country cottage pub combined with the traditional Irish shop pub theme, which recreates the ambience of an old-style general store that can be found in every small Irish town. This creates the perfect atmosphere whether you are looking for a good watering hole with friendly staff or a fun place to socialise with fellow travellers.

There are so many things to do at Gracie Kelly’s. Come with your group to watch your favourite sports on Gracie’s big screen TVs, or to play billiards and darts, all in air-conditioned comfort. Sing along and dance to your favourite songs being performed by the live band. The band is there to entertain every night at 8pm. Or simply feast on Gracie’s delicious wholesome home-cooked meals which are perfectly combined with one or two pints of cold draught Guinness from the bar.

There’s also a twice-weekly Quiz Night on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm where anyone can join the fun answering the trivial questions and winning some great prizes, while at the same time donating to a good cause to support Solemen helping the disadvantaged in Bali.

On St. Patrick’s Day last March, Gracie Kelly’s was also included in the list of the top 15 Irish Pubs outside Ireland to celebrate the holiday by Expedia Ireland, proving that its name has even been heard miles away in the Green Isle. The feature can be seen here!

Charity Update

Bali Dynasty Resort to Sponsor Iluh Juni and Komang Juniasih

Bali Dynasty Resort continues to help more individuals through the SoleNeeds Programme, which is designed to help alleviate the suffering of the disadvantaged by providing one-off donations. The individuals who the Resort has committed to help are 6-year-old Iluh Juni and 15-year-old Komang Juniasih.

Iluh Juni was born with a congenital heart defect and requires surgery. Unfortunately she had never seen a doctor. She is now taking medication to stabilise her condition after consulting with the doctor while waiting for the next stage of her treatment.

Komang Juniasih had her leg amputated 4 weeks ago due to a birth deformity. She regularly developed sores to her foot due to her gait and it was also affecting her hip and back.

Their current medical expenses will be covered by Bali Dynasty Resort Charity Effort, which is committed to give back to the community and help those in need. Thank you for your generous support toward our charity account.

Garuda Airlines ranked in Top 10 Airlines by TripAdvisor

Indonesia’s national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has been included in the list of the Top 10 Airlines Worldwide released by travel site TripAdvisor. The airline clocks in at number ten.

The list is part of the site's ‘Traveler’s Choice Awards’, which are based on the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide over the last 12 months.

Joining Garuda Indonesia on the list are other Southeast Asian companies including Singapore Airlines and THAI Smile, in second and eighth place, respectively.

After recent improvements, Garuda is no stranger to such awards. Last November, the company was named Most Improved Airline.

Ubud Food Festival

This festival sees its third year running as an exciting three-day culinary extravaganza from 12th to 14th May 2017 in Bali's cultural heartland of Ubud.

This year, the Ubud Food Festival will focus on the theme of ‘Every Flavour is a Story’. The theme celebrates Indonesia’s culinary heritage, in which every ingredient, recipe and culinary tradition tells a story of the archipelago’s history, geography and diverse cultures. The theme also reflects on the journey from producer to plate; from forging relationships with local growers to fostering awareness of broader ecological and industry trends that are shaping Indonesia’s – and the world’s – culinary landscape.

Alongside Indonesian chefs, restaurateurs, producers and food professionals, celebrated culinary icons from around the world will dish up a programme rich in fresh tastes and fresh ideas.

Vesak Day – 11 May 2017

Vesak Day or Waisak is a holiday observed traditionally by Buddhists, marking the birth of Prince Siddharta Gautama. The date varies each year on the Gregorian calendar but usually occurs in April or May, and in June on leap years. Unique to Buddhists in Bali is that some rituals share a slight resemblance to Balinese Hindu features, such as the use of temple ornaments.

Supadma is very popular amongst our guests. A member of Housekeeping Department, Supadman’s consistent work has earned him the title of Employee of the Month (Front of the House). Supadma has been working at the Bali Dynasty Resort since 1991 and really enjoys his work to make up the rooms for your comfortable stay. Congratulation!


I KETUT WINATA – Employee of the Month (Heart of the House)

Winata works as the Gardener under Housekeeping Department after he joined Bali Dynasty Resort in 1991. Being a gardener, he is really passionate with his responsibility to ensure that the garden is well tended, all flowers bloom perfectly and the resort looks beautiful. Suwarta is the Bar Supervisor at the H2O. A skilled leader, he is able to provide good supervision to all of the H2O staff to ensure that our commitment to give you the genuine hospitality is well delivered. New Referral Programme

As an appreciation for your support in referring people to stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort, we have launched the Referral Programme which will allow you to collect points by referring new guests to stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort.

This programme is part of the Dynasty Rewards programme. You will earn points starting from 100 points for every booking you refer. These points will be added to your Rewards Account once your referee has checked out, which means you have the opportunity to earn points faster even when you are not in the resort but you must make sure that the person you are referring includes your Rewards Membership number when making the reservation!
