The “Maldives” of Bali (but at quarter of the price of the Maldives!)

“An enchanting retreat on a white sandy beach surrounded by brilliant turquoise sea glimmering under the golden sun” is undoubtedly the kind of impression that everyone has associated with the Maldives. Now the similar luxury experience can be found in Bali’s North West coast at a more affordable price.

The new Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Beach Camp & Dive Centre, resting on a blissful white sandy beach lapped by the gentle waters of Banyuwedang Bay, has been the hype since its opening in September 2016. Bringing the ‘glamping’ concept to one of Bali’s most popular diving spots, this eco-friendly resort offers an alternative retreat experience for couples and honeymooners or simply outdoor adventure enthusiasts with an appetite for indulgence.

The resort’s accommodation is crafted with top quality African safari tents, giving a nod to its ‘glamping’ concept. The 24 units of Beach Camp Tents and 2 One-bedroom Tent Villas are suitable for couples or honeymooners, and Two-bedroom Tent Villas will be perfect for families. Behind the tent flaps, there are polished merbau floorboards, queen-size beds, fans, air conditioning, televisions, mini bars, driftwood lamps, goatskin rugs, showers and flushing toilets.

An open-sided beach club with a soaring grass roof, a bamboo bar and a restaurant provides the centrepiece of the resort. From here, anyone can enjoy a spellbinding vista that extends across a mangrove-entwined coastline to the lowland forests of West Bali National Park, taking in the tiny uninhabited Menjangan Island, the craggy folds of Bali Barat’s north facing ridges and the towering mountains in the distance—the same views to be enjoyed from the resort’s signature infinity pool. Opposite, beanbags and bamboo cabanas are lining on white-sand beach, with ample spaces from one another, ideal for lounging during the day and for romantic candlelit dinners by night.

Spa in the tent and in the private pods on a cliff edge add a sense of luxury escape, while the 5 star PADI Dive & Watersport Centre invites the guests to discover the amazing underwater world which surrounds the resort.

The ‘glamping’ experience starts as low as USD 230 nett per night, which is around a quarter price of the similar experience in the Maldives. Visit www.menjangandynasty.com to discover more of this exciting “Maldives-like” experience in Bali.

Charity Update

A Car for Charity

Commemorating the one year milestone with Solemen Indonesia, the Bali Dynasty Resort, though its' Charity Effort continues to actively give more to the community by providing a courtesy car for the charity. The car will be used to transport the needy and their families from the remote areas around Bali to the main hospital in Denpasar for treatment or diagnosis. The car is going to be a massive help to Solemen’s Outreach Programme which has now expanded to caring for over 900 “SoleBuddies” around the island.

The Bali Dynasty Resort has raised in excess of IDR 300,000,000 in 2016 alone and has committed to assist 5 Solebuddies with their ongoing long term treatment or care and education whilst at the same time has assisted many individuals through its “SoleNeeds” programme with one off needs such as wheelchairs, prosthetic legs, mattresses, medicines and other donations, which have a great impact on the individuals’ lives. The SoleNeeds programme has mostly been promoted through the twice weekly Quiz nights in Gracie Kelly’s with the generous donations from the guests. Quiz nights are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to join.

Bali Dynasty Resort Help Made Adi

Bali Dynasty Resort has recently helped Made Adi, aged 6, who suffers from Haemophilia, a disease which had claimed the life of his brother earlier.

Previously treated at Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar, Bali, he urgently needed medical tests in Surabaya to completely diagnose his health. The test was a huge expense for the family as they would need the flights and 3 nights accommodation for him and the parents. Cost was anticipated to be around 10 million.

With the aid received during the Gracie Kelly’s Quiz Night and the charity boxes around the resort, Bali Dynasty Resort could step in time to cover for the 10 million expenses so Made Adi and the family and one Solemen staff could fly to Surabaya  the following day.

During the medical test it was confirmed that the haemophilia he suffers would require a specific treatment due to he is lacking the clotting factor. He would undergo constant monitoring and the treatment is now ongoing.
