October 2016

Welcome to the October edition of Bali Dynasty Resort e-newsletter.

This October, we welcomed a very special guest in our resort who is very popular in Australia. Kadek Mahardika who plays Ketut in the famous Ketut & Rhonda ads arrived with his little family for a family vacation in his native island. We also hosted a media familiarisation trip inviting top media representatives from Australia, and they all agreed that Bali Dynasty Resort is the perfect choice for a great family holiday.

Looking ahead, we want to remind you that the booking for the Festive Season celebration is already open. If you haven't booked yourself in, please do so as the seats are running out quickly. Gracie Kelly's will also show the Melbourne Cup live on its big screen, so look no further to enjoy the race than to this Bali's first and only original Irish Pub.

We hope that you enjoy reading the newsletter and we look forward to welcoming you again at the Bali Dynasty Resort soon.

Bali Dynasty Resort welcomed Kadek Mahardika

Bali Dynasty Resort was pleased to welcome Kadek Mahardika (famous for his starring in the Rhonda and Ketut adverts in Australia) with his beautiful wife Laura and their two children, Mila (3 y.o) and Lenny (5 months).

Kadek formally worked in early 2000 at the Bali Dynasty Resort as a cook helper before his rise to fame with the popular insurance ads with Rhonda. Now Kadek has found his new “Rhonda” and the tables have turned enabling Kadek to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Bali with his family. During his stay, he also got to meet some of his old friends, who are still working at the Bali Dynasty Resort.

A visit from this famous Australian TV commercial star proved Bali Dynasty Resort as a top choice for family holiday in Bali. The Resort’s popularity and consistent quality has been recognised by many awards over the years, i.e. Top 10 Family Resorts in Holidays with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards for seven-consecutive years, TripAdvisor Top 25 Best Hotels for Families in Asia and Indonesia and more, and the resort is committed to consistently upgrading its facilities for the enjoyment of families and couples alike.

Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub will again be the host for Melbourne Cup 2016 in Bali Dynasty Resort. Mark your calendar to join the great excitement with your band of friends watching the annual event that defines Australian horse racing live from our big screen. The event will start from 11am onwards.

Australian Media Fam Trip at Bali Dynasty Resort

The representatives from several Australian media recently participated in a media familiarisation trip hosted by TigerAir Australia, Bali Dynasty Resort, Menjangan Dynasty Resort, Bali Hai Diving Adventures and Bali Hai Cruises. There were the representatives from Woman’s Day Magazine, Mamamia, TigerTales Australia, Yahoo 7 Travel, Diveplanit, Out & About with Kids, Perth Community Newspapers and several freelance travel writers.

The familiarisation trip was organised to showcase the best of Bali’s tourism for family travellers or couples, and provide an in depth detail about what Bali has to offer for visitors in general.

During the four days familiarisation trip, the media experienced staying at the Bali Dynasty Resort which was recently awarded in the Top 10 Family Resorts in Bali in Holidays with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards 2016. They then went glamping to the all-tented boutique retreat Menjangan Dynasty Resort in Northwest Bali. They also discovered the exotic underwater world at the Menjangan Island by diving and snorkelling organised by Pasir Putih Dive and Watersport Centre managed by Bali Hai Diving Adventures. A cruise trip to Lembongan Island was provided by Bali Hai Cruise on the last day, where the media spent a day enjoying the exhilerating watersport activities and a leisurely break at its popular beach club.

All media enjoyed an excellent return flight service from Australia to Bali by TigerAir Australia, which started their flights to Bali from Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide on the 23rd of March this year.

Charity Updates Help Friends for Life

Bali Dynasty Resort has been concerned for the past 20 years with its commitment to alleviating suffering and making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people in Bali. Having successfully raised over 3 Billion rupiah for its former charity project in conjunction with the East Bali Poverty project, the resort now turns to Solemen to support individuals in need through a commitment “Help Friends for Life”.

Since commencing with Solemen in February 2016, the charity effort has been successful in helping the disadvantaged with both long term support and one-off donations. The resort currently provides a full scholarship for an aspiring nurse student, a one year English course fee and a monthly medical fund for its adopted Solebuddies. In addition, much needed items were also donated, such as wheelchairs, a prosthetic leg, Pediasure milk, solar lights, mattress and many more.

The new charity has received a positive response from the resort guests who are attracted to the personal nature of each case and the feeling that they really are making a difference.

With the favourable results of the charity effort, Bali Dynasty Resort and Solemen will continue to bring smiles to many individuals in need. A few projects have been agreed, such as providing car to help the Outreach team to reach out to the disadvantaged in remote areas, providing more medical assessment and having a fun day for the kids to name but a few.

Tour of the Month - Bali Adventure Tours

Let’s get adventurous and close to nature with world class services from Bali Adventure Tours, such as the popular White Water Rafting or the Elephant Safari Ride.

Rafting is perhaps one of the Bali Adventure Tours’s famous activities. The white water rafting gives you the longest rafting route in the island, which starts on the uncharted north point of Ayung River in Ubud. The mighty river is known to be the life source of Bali, guarded by rainforest on both sides, and getting up close and personal with this spectacular river is truly unforgettable.

This safari-inspired park is one of Ubud’s most unique offerings, home to its very own herd of Asian elephants in more than 2 hectares of exotic eco tourism landscaped botanical gardens, surrounded by national forest. Get up close and personal with these incredible animals in a beautiful tropical park setting. Elephants can be seen immersing themselves in the park lake, in between riding, painting or other activities.

The two activities come with a return transfer from and to Bali Dynasty Resort, buffet lunch and insurance, guaranteeing you with an excellent and hassle free holiday trip. Special for you, an exclusive discount up to 20% for adults only is now available at our Tour & Information Centre for White Water Rafting and Elephant Ride.
