We introduced some new dishes to the extensive menu of H2O and Gracie Kelly’s that you should try. The Ashoka Spa is highlighting the Ayurveda Shirodara, a perfect treatment for those in need for a relaxed body and mind.

We also want to share with you that Gede Surata already received his prosthetic leg, thanks to your generous donations in the last Back to Bali Dynasty Party. We also adopted a few more disadvantaged people that we will help through the Gracie Kelly’s Quiz Nights. We look forward to seeing you more often on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Gracie Kelly's.

Thank you and see you soon!

New Menus at H2O and Gracie Kelly’s!

Guests frequently visiting H2O and Gracie Kelly’s for lunch and dinner will notice that we introduced some new dishes in both restaurants.

Tortilla lovers will find heaven at H2O with the brand new “Tex-Mex Slow Cooked Pork”. The Mexican style tender pork is shredded and served in tortilla with shredded lettuce, diced red onions and cilantro plus zesty potato wedges and sour cream. Choose the “Burger Slider” to enjoy a trio of mini gourmet burgers with beef, chicken and fish patty served with French fries and coleslaw. If you are looking for a dessert, consider the “Toffee Brownie”, a chocolate fudge brownie with toffee sauce  served with a scoop of ice cream. Yum!

Some new dishes also made their debut at Gracie Kelly’s. You may need to try the “Slow Cooked Pig’s Cheeks” this is succulently braised pig’s cheeks in a red wine sauce served with creamy champ potato and green peas. Otherwise, opt for the “Three Bean Chilli”, a vegetarian dish made of butter bean, kidney bean, chick peas and jalapeno peppers in a tomato and chilli sauce served with rice and tortilla chips. Savour as well the new Indonesian favourite “Semur Daging Kentang Lunak”, beef stewed in spices and soy sauce with potato chunky, topped with fried shallot and served with steamed rice.

Tempted enough? Be sure to check out H2O and Gracie Kelly’s and try our new menu!

Charity Update

Gede Surata Received His Prosthetic Leg

29 year old Gede Surata had his leg amputated three years ago due to cancer. He adjusted well. After the surgery, he walked with the aid of crutches and travelled locally using an adapted moped. He was in need for a prosthetic leg which would make a big difference to his life. A prosthetic leg cost IDR 10 million.

Upon hearing his story from our fellow Solemen, we decided to step in with our SoleNeeds programme which aims to help individuals with one off donation.

Thanks to the generosity of those attending the 23rd Back to Bali Dynasty Party in Perth last February, we managed to raise over AUD 7,000 from the raffles and tickets. The money was adequate to fund a few charity projects including Gede Surata's prosthetic leg.

The prosthetic leg project began in March with the prosthesis maker visited him in Gerokgak, North Bali. In May, the prosthetic leg was delivered and well received by Gede Surata. Since then he has enjoyed the confidence and comfort to move around without the crutches.

As we adopt more and more pleas from the people with the disadvantage, we do a regular fundraising at the Gracie Kelly's twice a week Quiz Nights. It has received a positive response from our guests who are eager to donate while having fun on Tuesdays & Thursdays Quiz Nights.

In the coming weeks, the Quiz Nights will focus on helping Yudi & Yuda (6 y.o & 1.5 y.o)—siblings from Karangasem who are suffering from Epidermolysis bullosa, funding solar lights for a family in Payangan, Ubud who lives with a disabled granddaughter, and many more.

Let’s help our friends in need through the fundraising at Gracie Kelly’s Quiz Night every Tuesday & Thursday. Together we make a difference to the lives of others.

Solemen Needs More Aquaphor and QV

Aquaphor and QV are very useful to treat skin condition. The Aquaphor is very essential to treat patients with Epidermolysis bullosa while the QV will give care for the ones with Harlequin ichthyosis.

Solemen has met people with the above skin conditions in Bali, some of whom live in  remote areas. They have to endure their suffering as none of these products are readily available in Bali. When available, they are very expensive.

Solemen normally received Aquaphor and QV brought by people travelling to Bali and distribute to the needy. Unfortunately their stock is almost depleted.

If you are travelling to Bali soon, we hope that you can spare space of your luggage to bring some Aquaphor and QV for donation. You can drop them in the Charity Box next to the Front Desk at our main lobby.

Thank you for your kindness to help.
