Soft Shell Crabs Crawl onto Golden Lotus Menu

With soft shell crabs being in season, Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant now offers “RUAN KE XIE” or the “Soft Shell Crab Promotion” from 1 September 2015 until 30 November 2015.

These subtle crustaceans are fried golden brown, providing a light crispy texture on the skin yet still soft enough to melt on the first chew. The Upperdeck @ H2O

Sitting on top of our  H2O Restaurant, the Upper Deck is a perfect place to watch the sunset whilst enjoying your favourite cocktail.

Raise the Flag, Raise the Smiles

Commemorating the 70th Independence Day of Indonesia, early morning on Monday, 17 August 2015, a few management and staff of the Bali Dynasty Resort attended the Independence Day Celebrations of a few remote mountain hamlets in Desa Ban which the resort has supported in conjunction with the East Bali Poverty Project since 2000.

The celebration began with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony by EBPP’s staff, all the children from the six schools of EBPP on the village’s dry river bed. A set of fun games were organised after the ceremony where the kids were allowed to have some fun as well as performances where they showcased their creativity and talent.

This event organised by East Bali Poverty Project has gained consistent support from Bali Dynasty Resort. As in the previous years, Bali Dynasty Resort sponsored fresh fruit and 265 hygiene kits, including tooth brush, tooth paste, towels and soaps for all the children.

The Bali Dynasty Resort, through fundraising activities and generous donations from guests has become one of the largest sponsors of the East Bali Poverty Project and has raised over 3 billion rupiah since 2000.

Once again we would like to extend our gratitude to our loyal friends and beloved guests for the generosity to help the unfortunate kids of Bali. Virgin Australia to Shift Its Bali Flight to Tigerair Australia

From March 23, 2016, Virgin Australia will cease flying from Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth to Denpasar (Bali). They will instead use its no - frills Tigerair subsidiary on those routes.

The Tigerair flights to Bali will be the first international segments flown by the budget airline that was bought by Virgin Australia last year. Virgin Australia will continue Bali services out of Sydney, Brisbane and Port Hedland.

Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer members will still be able redeem points on seats for Tigerair services to Denpasar.

Balinale Film Festival

BALINALE 2015 kicks off its 9th year with “Movies under the Stars” on Bali’s famous Kuta Beach. Enjoy the 'Free' Open Air Cinema, Family Activities, Exhibitions, Special Refreshments and great live entertainment happening over the pre-festival weekend.

This year BALINALE will take place at Cinemax, a newly opened cinema with 5 modern studios, at Lippo Mall from 24 – 30 September 2015. The venue is only a five minute walk from Bali Dynasty Resort.

BALINALE is fully supported by South Kuta Beach Business Association (SKBBA).

South Kuta Beach Business Association is a group of hotels, restaurants and attractions that specifically market the South Kuta Beach strip and ensure the safety and enjoyment of tourists visiting the area through various environmental and security initiatives. ASEAN Beach Wrestling Tournaments

Bali will host the ASEAN Beach Wrestling Tournament on 18 – 19 September 2015 on Kuta Beach. The Beach Wrestling Tournament is expected to see athletes participate from all ASEAN countries together with wrestlers from Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao.

AirAsia Beach Run

AirAsia Bali Beach Run 2015 will be on 6th September 2015. The race will be divided into three categories, i.e. 2.5 Fun Run, 5 Open Run and 10 Open Run and the runners of each category will run 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km respectively.

The race will start and finish at Kuta Beach. Runners will leave the start line at Kuta Beach at 6am and run along the white sandy beach. The winners of 5 and 10 Open Run categories will be rewarded with numerous prizes, including cash awards, trophy, finisher’s medals and vouchers from sponsors.

Registration was closed on 16 August 2015.
