Celebrating 25 Years!

On the 15th of May, 2015, Bali Dynasty Resort celebrated its 25th Anniversary with an Appreciation Party. Business partners, suppliers, guests and long time supporters of the Bali Dynasty Resort were invited to join this special evening.

Guests were welcomed at the pool area of the resort, while a beautiful traditional music performance was provided by Taman Nusa Bali. The resort’s restaurants Golden Lotus, Gracie Kelly’s and Queens of India offered a variety of delicious food choices from food stalls located around the pool, presenting Chinese, Irish and Indian dishes.

The evening continued with a Fire Dance performed by the resorts’ recreation department and spectacular shows around the Broadway themed event. DJ Dewa ensured the audience were kept fully entertained throughout the evening.  

During dinner, the General Manager, Robert Kelsall, and the Bali Dynasty’s Sales team briefly took the stage to announce some of their Top Producing agents, Asia World Indonesia, Pacto, U&I Holidays, Bali Res Centre and MG Group and the top Online Travel Agents, Agoda, Booking.com and Expedia. All were handed an award in recognition of their support towards the resort.

The Golden Lotus quarterly promotion

During the period 1 June 2015 to 31 August 2015 Golden Lotus presents another delicious food promotion ‘Seafood and Meat Dishes in Mongolian sauce' or 'Xia He Rou Lei Cao Meng Gu Jiang’ in Chinese, providing you Chinese vegetables with either stir-fried prawns, chicken, beef or pork served with a delicious, savory brown Mongolian sauce. Though neither the ingredients nor the method of cooking is Mongolian in origin, this dish is widely known amongst the Chinese food lovers and is rather meant to imply an 'exotic' type of food. Due to geographic proximity and deep historic ties of Mongolia with China, Mongolian cuisine has been influenced by the Chinese cuisine.

Chill out at the Upper Deck at H2O

For sunset cocktails and tasty tapas in a no-kids zone, head to the Upper Deck at H2O, open from 4pm to 10pm daily. Grab a seat on one of the stylish lounge chairs or cushioned sofas and take in the views of the ocean as the stars twinkle. Every Wednesday and Saturday DJ Dewa plays chilled out rhythms. 
The Upper Deck is also the perfect place to celebrate your special event or for private functions such as birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. Make sure you contact our events team to tailor something specifically for you and your budget!

The Golden Lotus restaurant at the Bali Dynasty Resort is, without doubt one of the best Chinese restaurants in Indonesia. This elegant and sophisticated Chinese Restaurant offers the finest Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines and Dim Sum lunch prepared by our Chinese Master Chef. Ngurah Rai airport ranked 7th in the world.

The Airport Council (ACI) has surprised many by voting Bali’s Ngurah Airport as the seventh best airport in the world in their category.
“Ngurah Rai airport is the pride of the people of Bali and now the airport has become the seventh best airport in the world in the category servicing 15-25 million passengers per year,” said General Manager of the Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Herry AY Sikado.

Results are based on a survey of travellers in the period from October to December 2014.

Ngurah Rai ranked higher than other major airports including Osaka, San Diego, Zurich, Brisbane and Manchester, also servicing between 15-25 million people per year. China’s Wuhan Tianhe Airport was voted number one in the same category.

There have been some great improvements in the airport of late with faster processing by immigration and fewer queues making the overall arrival experience much better.

National Education Day

On the 2nd of May 2015, East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP), supported through the Bali Dynasty Charity Effort since 2000, celebrated the National Education Day, an annual event, in Pengalusan Hamlet, Karangasem, Bali.

The theme of the celebration was to “create an education and culture as an action to educate and grow the generation based on sustainable development visions.'
Besides commemorating the education day, the EBPP students showed their academic talent during this celebration in the form of a competition amongst the 6 EBPP schools. Every contestant showed their ability in answering every question that was asked by the juries. Darmaji School won the competition for elementary level and junior high level, while the senior high level was won by the students from Pengalusan.

“I was very happy and proud to be the winner. My big effort paid off' said Sudini happily, the winner of senior high level.
Many kinds of art performances were presented during the celebration.

“Education day is a great day because the children can show their achievements and creativity,” said Arnawa, one of EBPP’s teachers, proudly.

Vesak Day, Tuesday, 2 June 2015

Vesak (Waisak) Day is the most significant day of the year in the Buddhist calendar and is celebrated by Buddhists the world over. The day commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha and is a day of immense joy, peace and reflection.  Borobudur is a central meeting point for Buddhists from all over Indonesia, and around the world on this auspicious day held on a full moon.

The 36th Bali Arts Festival

The Bali Arts Festival, locally known as 'Pesta Kesenian Bali', this year takes place from 13th June 2015 to 11th July 2015 at the Bali's Art Center in Denpasar, capital of Bali Province.

For a full month, the best of Bali’s dances, music, and artistic expressions will be held. There will be daily performances of dance and music alongside cultural and commercial activities during which literally the whole of Bali will converge on the city to present offerings of dance, music and beauty. The festival will commence with a parade of performers from all districts in Bali and other Indonesian provinces. There will also be foreign participants.

This year, the festival has as its theme “Jagaditha: Strengthening the Welfare of Society”, its philosophy taken from historic factors, inspiration of folk art aesthetics, and everything else that has formed Balinese art as it is today. The theme will be illustrated in parades and processions, exhibitions, competitions, seminars, and documentations.

Elephant Safari Park - Bali Adventure Tours

A visit to the Elephant Safari Park is a must for any visitor to Bali.  Get up close and personal with these incredible animals in a beautiful tropical park setting.  Elephants can be seen immersing themselves in the park lake, in between riding, painting or other activities.  Hand feed them, touch them, take photos with them, then learn more about the elephants ancestry and diversity at the Park's historical and graphic displays.

Every month we hold our staff gathering, where we recognise our star performers, celebrate our staff birthdays and present an update on new hotel products and services. Here are our winners for April 2015, these staff members have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests.

Tri Susanto, our Prime Care Attendant in the Engineering Department is chosen as our Employee of the Month April 2015 in the category Heart of the House. Tri joined the Bali Dynasty Resort 5 years ago.

I Made Supadma, our popular Housekeeping Assistant, won the title Front of the House. You will see Made's smiling face when he is cleaning your room every day as he works in our Housekeeping Department. Made is making quite a reputation for himself as someone going the extra mile for the guest making him a firm favourite with our guests. Made joined Bali Dynasty in 1991 and has two children.

Ketut Suwitera is the winner of our Guest Nomination for the month of April and you will find Ketut presenting the room to the guests at its best every day!  He has been with the Bali Dynasty Resort since 1991, he is married with three children.
