It is always a pleasure to share and keep you updated with all the latest news, events and special promotions in this edition from in and around the resort.
It is expected that the rainy season will soon end, although in the last few weeks rain has been very rare, and they we will get the nice winds from the west which bring a more pleasant climate.
In this edition we will tell you all about our new "Glamping" experience as well as our latest certification. We have a new promotion in Golden Lotus to tell you about as well as our Mothers Day Spa promotion as wella s an internal promotion of another kind.

Tsunami Ready Certification
Bali Dynasty Resort held a Tsunami Evacuation Certification drill on the 3rd of April, 2013 which was participated in by all the staff and many of our in-house guests at that time cooperated in the simulation scenario. The Tsunami Drill was monitored by an official Tsunami Ready Team and the Security and Safety Executive of the Bali Hotel Association. The drill was a success and the Bali Dynasty Resort is now officially certified as a Tsunami Ready Hotel. We would like to thank all the guests who so actively and enthusiastically participated and helped us achieve our certification.

Bali Dynasty Resort is proud to announce the opening of its luxury Tent Villa, an exotic and romantic one-bedroom retreat set upon 290 square metres of rooftop garden blessed with glorious views of the Indian Ocean. Facing west, the sunsets here are legendary. With the emphasis on privacy, comfort and intimate seclusion, the Tent Villa promises a five-star camping experience for couples and honeymooners, while also fulfilling the dual role of a private party venue suitable for weddings and receptions.
At soon as world-weary nomads journey through the private entrance door of the rooftop garden they will be in their own exclusive space, where they can relax, forget the stress of everyday life, and enjoy sea views, cool breezes, butler service and alfresco meals. Additionally, they will have use of all the facilities at Bali Dynasty Resort including Ashoka Spa, six restaurants, four bars, three swimming pools, exercise room, beach club, kids’ club, and complimentary departure lounge.
Measuring a generous 44 square metres, the eco-friendly villa features a double tented roof, which provides a shade from the sun on the wraparound terrace. The safari-inspired interior embraces the eco concept with sustainable materials including a recycled teakwood floor, bamboo pillars and sleek polished bamboo doors. Under the draped canvas ceiling, the room is outfitted with wardrobes, canvas roller blinds, bamboo lamps, and a built-in desk characterised by double crisscross legs that follow the shape of the director’s chair with which it is paired. Any comparisons with a campsite, however, end here with the provision of a luxurious king-size bed; individually controlled air-conditioning; a ceiling fan; mini-bar fridge; a wall-mounted, 42-inch, satellite-channel TV and DVD player; and a pantry with tea and coffee making facilities. A spacious dressing area is positioned behind the bed’s high leather-padded headboard, complete with a washbasin and a mirror. Finally, a walk-in monsoon shower and a toilet – accessed by two separate doors – are situated within the open-air courtyard bathroom, which has a pebbled floor and is surrounded by high bamboo walls for absolute privacy.
Sliding glass balcony doors lead from the bedroom to an outdoor terrace at the front of the villa, furnished with two all-weather cushioned sofas, and a table and chairs for alfresco dining. The 107-square-metre flat lawn is equipped with a pair of sunloungers and surrounded by a safety fence and pots of tropical shrubs, flanked by two frangipani trees.
The Tent Villa is also an elegant rooftop event venue; its ocean views and private garden setting making it perfect for weddings, parties and cocktail receptions, accomplished with exquisite details, fresh floral decorations,fine cuisine, and an experienced team of professional staff dedicated to creating unforgettable occasions.
On 1st May 2013, Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts introduces its latest brand,and welcomes its eighth property to the Prime Plaza group, with the opening of PrimeBiz Kuta. Wrapped in minimalist architecture with restful interiors, this new, modern hotelis designed to cater for domestic and international business and leisure travellers, conventions and groups,by providing an international standard of hospitality, comfortable accommodation and quality facilities at affordable prices. PrimeBiz Kuta is ideally positioned in a prime location on Jl Raya Kuta, just four kilometres from Ngurah Rai International Airport, and within walking distance of the local restaurants and souvenir shops of Tuban, South Kuta.
Upholding the renowned hospitality of the Prime Plaza brand, the hotel offers 143 guestrooms within two categories spanning four floors. The stylish ensuite bathrooms are fitted with wide washbasins, wall mirrors, and glass-fronted walk-in rainshowers, while a number of the rooms have interconnecting doors making them suitable for families of four.
Supporting facilities and services at PrimeBiz Kuta include an outlet of the famous Kopi Bali House restaurant, a rooftop swimming pool known as the Sky Pool complete with an adjoining exercise room, and a massage and spa facility with a range of treatments dedicated to relaxation. For business guests there is a large meeting roomsuitable for seminars and small corporate conferences. This versatile room can be divided into three smaller rooms ideal for regular meetings. Additionally, the Bizness Centreoffers full business facilities and equipment to support guests’ needs, with complimentary WiFi also available in the public areas. The hotel’s services include a laundry service, transportation service and a tour desk. A free scheduled shuttle service transports guests throughout the day to the main Kuta shopping area together with its wide choice of restaurants, entertainment areas and night life.
Kopi Bali House has a tantalising menu and an all-day dining concept, while also offering the complete experience and taste of Kopi Bali, a Balinese coffee business that dates back to 1935 and remains as authentic as its origins yet parallels its competitors in taste, variety and trendy presentation. The stylish decor combined with the aroma of freshly roasted beans makes Kopi Bali House a very pleasant place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with a cup of the best coffee. The menu draws from the success of the renowned Kopi Bali House sister restaurant, presenting International and Asian specialties, while the desserts and pastries also provide the perfect accompaniment to the perfect cup. The coffee menu features a great choice of espresso, latte, cappuccino and mocha, decaffeinated and iced. The bar invites guests to enjoy beers, wines, cocktails, spirits and non-alcoholic refreshments. In-room dining is also available.

Golden Lotus Quarterly Promo Peking Duck
From the 1st of May until 31 July 2013 guests can enjoy one of Golden Lotus’ most popular dishes on the menu, the signature dish Peking Duck. Peking Duck is a famous duck dish from Beijing that has been prepared since the imperial era, and is now considered a national dish of China.
This special dish is served as three separate courses. Firstly the whole crispy Peking Duck is presented and carved by the Chef at your table .The Duck’s crispy skin is rolled in Chinese pancakes and mixed with Black Bean Sauce, Cucumber and Spring Onions. For the next course the Duck’s meat is cooked with Black Bean sauce and mixed with vegetables and then finally the soup is served consisting of the stock made from the duck bones with vegetables added.

APEC Indonesia 2013
This year Indonesia is once again the host for the APEC CEO Summit, one of the most important business events in the Asia-Pacific. The APEC CEO Summit 2013 will take place from the 5th -7th of October in Bali, Indonesia. The Summit venue in Bali will be announced at a later time.
Bali is expected to be extremely busy during this period. It is also Australian school holidays so we would like to remind you to book your room as soon as possible in case you haven't made your reservation yet.
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Didit Indra Puranwarman, or Didit (for short!) to the position of Resort Manager taking over the day to day operations of all aspects of the Bali Dynasty Resort.
Didit has been the Executive Assistant Manager since commencing at the Bali Dynasty Resort in 2000 and has been instrumental in planning and controlling all the upgrades and improvements to the resort. He is well respected by his colleagues and all the staff.
Many of you who have visited before will already be familiar with Didit as he passes through the areas on his regular walkabouts. I hope you will join us all in wishing Didit the best of luck with his new promotion.

Tour of the Month - Bali Quad
For the people who would like to experience the 'real' Bali, Bali Quad Discovery Tours has developed some unique off road adventure tours with quad bikes (ATVs) four wheel drive motorcycles through a very authentic part of the island.
The tours combine a great experience of driving your own powerful off road 4-wheel motorcycle (or enjoying the ride while comfortably sitting on the back of the bike) with the opportunity to learn about the way the local people live. You will follow our experienced guides by driving between beautiful rice fields, pass the rain forest, drive up the mountain and cross some riverbeds. It doesn't matter if you have ever driven a quad bike before, as the bikes are user friendly, and everybody will get a detailed instruction and practice on the spot before you start our tours.

Every month we hold a staff gathering, where we celebrate our staff birthdays, present an update on whats going on to all our team members as well as recognise those members of staff who have excelled. In March these staff members have excelled in their duties and the services offered to our guests.
I PUTU AGUS PURNAMA HADI is the winner of the Employee of the Month 'Front of the House'. Putu has been at the Bali Dynasty Resort since July 2011 in the Food and Beverage Service as one of our Bartenders. Putu is a popular face amongst many guests and is only 23 year old.
Our Employee of the Month 'Heart of the House' isFATHUR RAHMAN. Fathur joined the Bali Dynasty Resort in July 2011 as one of our Technicians in our Engineering Department.
Our Supervisor of the Quarter is MOHAMMAD HAYADUN, a familiar face for many of you. O'Dun is how we call him, a very loyal staff member. He has been with us for 21 years already, he started working at the Bali Dynasty Resort in 1992. O'Dun is married and has two children.
