Starting January 2016, Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant offers three tempting delicacies—YEE SANG, YANG ROU and NIAN GAO—in conjunction with the celebration of the New Year and the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations on the 8th of February 2016.
YEE SANG is a special Chinese salad made up of thinly sliced carrots, shredded yam, pickles, white sesame, chopped peanuts, mandarin orange leaves, spring onions, regular onions, sweet potatoes, salmon fish fillet, mixed and seasoned with Chinese spices and Golden Lotus special sauce. The combination creates a crispy salad with heavenly taste of sweet and sour.
According to the Chinese belief, Yee Sang is a must during Chinese New Year celebrations. The tossing of Yee Sang symbolises the action of wishing one another a great year ahead filled with abundant health, prosperity and happiness. Yee Sang is available in small (IDR 70K nett), medium (IDR 95K nett) and large portions (IDR 120K nett).
Savour as well the rich flavour of YANG ROU, tender lamb dishes in two choices of sauces. Diners can choose from fried lamb in black pepper sauce or the wok-fried lamb with garlic, spring onion and black pepper. Available for only IDR 95K net per portion, each dish can serve up to 3 people.
NIAN GAO is also making its debut to Golden Lotus’ menu on this new year period. Widely known as the Chinese New Year Cake, Nian Gao represents the hope that the new year will bring sweeter days and the family will always “be glued” together. Prepared from glutinous rice, battered and fried to golden brown, Golden Lotus’ Nian Gao is available for IDR 55K nett/portion, a perfect sweet dessert suitable for a family gathering in every occasion.
