Bali Dynasty Resort Hosts a Blood Donation Event
13 August 2019
South Kuta, 13 August 2019 – To coincide with Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day, Bali Dynasty Resort hosted a Blood Donation Event on Monday, 12th August 2019 between 1pm and 4pm in the Nusa Penida Meeting Room. This was part of a regular initiative that the resort organises in conjunction with the Indonesian Red Cross
A significant number of staff members participated in the event, which resulted in a total of 38 bags of blood being collected for the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). All of the bags were then transported to the regional blood bank located at Sanglah Hospital to be stored accordingly ready for distribution to patients in need.
In addition to the blood donation, there was also a free basic medical check-up that enabled staff members to have their blood sugar levels, uric acid and cholesterol evaluated.
The Human Resources Manager of Bali Dynasty Resort, Ramasari, stated that the blood donation is a regular event held twice a year at the resort to advocate the importance of donating to maintain local blood bank supplies and help save the lives of others.
The blood donation is just one of Bali Dynasty Resort’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) events and over 100 team members are currently registered as blood donors. The resort is also committed to helping Bali’s disadvantaged people through its “Help Friends for Life” programme in collaboration with Solemen Indonesia. Launched in 2015, the initiative has been successful to provide scholarships and ongoing treatments to individuals in need as well as distribute prosthetic legs, wheelchairs and much more.
The resort continued to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day with an array of uplifting activities including a beach clean-up followed by fun games for all staff members. Then on the morning of 17th August, a traditional Flag Ceremony was performed to replicate the nation’s formal declaration of independence that occurred some 74 years ago in Jakarta.
During the event, Mr. Didit Indra, General Manager of Bali Dynasty Resort, delivered a short speech. He reminded staff members that everyone is equal and that they must share the responsibility to achieve the 2019 Indonesian Independence Day vision. This refers to Superior Human Resources and Sustainable Development Goals to Advance Indonesia (SDM Unggul, Indonesia Maju). In conclusion, Didit added that as patriotic Indonesians, we must all assume ownership to continue to preserve the freedom that our veterans bravely struggled for in the past.
