A FLAG RAISING CEREMONY TO MARK INDONESIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY AT PENGALUSAN.

South Kuta, - Indonesians are going to mark the 67th Independence Day on Friday 17 August, 2012. Preparations for the patriotic celebrations begin weeks before the Independent Day.
Office buildings around town sprout large banners or lighted designs, fences around the government offices are draped in red and white bunting. Mall and houses raise the flags with words Dirgahayu RI can be seen everywhere.
On the 17th of August, Bali Dynasty Resort will conduct the flag ceremony in early morning, whilst the management team of Dynasty will visit Pengalusan to attend the Flag Raising Ceremony. The Bali Dynasty Resort together with the East Bali Poverty and the villagers fully sponsor the celebration of Indonesian Independence Day. The children of the villages will provide some great performances from Balinese dances to drama, music and they will also gear up for fun and games for the kids such as; Krupuk eating contests, games, sack races, tug a war, and lots of fun fill the day.
The Bali Dynasty Resort, through the Bali Dynasty Charity effort established in 2000 has supported the integrated education projects of the East Bali Poverty Project initially supporting two schools and now fully supporting Pengalusan with over 55 children. Since 2000, the Dynasty has raised nearly 2 billion Rupiah in aid making the Bali Dynasty Resort one of the leading sponsors of the East Bali Poverty Project. The donations mainly come from guests as well as special events such as the twice weekly quiz nights conducted in Gracie Kelly’s each Tuesday and Thursday evening as a well as major annual fundraiser in Perth; the Back to Bali Dynasty Party, which is held in February each year and is supported by all the resort’s major Australian travel partners and past guests.
