Melbourne Cup at Gracie Kelly’s

On Tuesday, 5th November Gracie Kelly’s welcomed the excitement and splendour of the race that stops a nation, the Melbourne Cup.

Gracies was full by 11am to watch the race and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone sang and danced to our Live Band, and prizes were given out to the ladies for the best hat.

Bali Children’s Project

Thank You for Supporting Putu Angga Sedana’s Education

We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to Putu Angga Sedana’s educational journey through the Bali Children’s Project, as well as the Quiz Night at Gracie Kelly’s every Tuesday and Thursday. Your generosity is really making a difference.

Angga nearly dropped out after junior high due to financial struggles, but a temporary sponsor allowed him to continue his education. Now, with less than a year until graduation, he risks dropping out again without further support. However, with your help, Bali Dynasty Resort and the Bali Children’s Project are proud to support Angga in completing his education. We hope that with our continued backing, he will be able to pursue his dreams and achieve his desired career.

upport – Avrille Laura’s Education

Avrille Laura, known as Laura, is a 17-year-old only child from Penebel, Tabanan. Currently in her final year at a vocational high school focused on tourism, she majors in Culinary Arts with dreams of becoming a chef and working in the tourism industry, possibly abroad.

Raised by her elderly grandparents since childhood, Laura’s school expenses have become challenging, especially as her grandfather's health prevents him from weaving baskets, and her grandmother is bedridden after an accident. Laura has struggled with school debt and is on the verge of dropping out again without a new sponsor. With two years left until her graduation in June 2025, Laura hopes to complete her education to support her grandparents and build a brighter future.

Through our charity program, we are stepping in to sponsor Laura for this month. We hope this support will ease her financial challenges, helping her stay in school and pursue her passion for Culinary Arts.

Support – Putu Agus’s Education

Seventeen-year-old Agus is in his final year of senior high school in Karangasem, with eight months left until his planned graduation in June. As the eldest of three, he lives with his younger siblings and mother, who struggles financially after his father’s passing in January. Putu has fallen six months behind on school fees due to these challenges.

Putu’s mother earns little from raising livestock owned by others, and Putu helps by foraging feed, often traveling far during the dry season. His favourite subject is English, as he hopes to work in a hotel and help lift his family out of poverty. Though he has become more reserved since his father’s passing, Putu is determined to be strong for his family.

Through our charity program, we’re pleased to support Agus’s education this month, aiming to help Putu’s family through this difficult time.

PERMATA HATI MOHIYA

Mohiya is dedicated to providing essential food and medical support to those in need, including the less fortunate, the elderly, the sick, and orphans. They also aim to ensure that children across Bali and Indonesia have access to education. To fulfil this mission, Mohiya carries out a range of charitable programs designed to make a significant impact in the community.

On November 9th, Bali will celebrate Tumpek Krulut, a day full of love and happiness. The word "Krulut" comes from "Lulut," which means affection and joy. Just like the joyful sounds of gamelan music that lift our spirits, Tumpek Krulut reminds us to share love and kindness with each other.

This special day includes a ceremony to purify traditional musical instruments. It's a time for communities to come together, promoting unity and goodwill. Join us in celebrating this lively occasion that captures the spirit of love and togetherness.

TOUR OF THE MONTH - Dedari Balinese Dance

Join us for a traditional Balinese dance class, a fun and cultural experience for everyone. Our skilled dance teachers, who speak English, will show you the beautiful hand movements, footwork, and body movements of Balinese dance. The classes are for all skill levels and are designed to be enjoyable and educational. You can take this class every Tuesday at Kupu Kupu Kids Club at Bali Dynasty Resort.

Beautiful well-maintained Hotel, would stay again. Stayed 4 nights. Great location. Easy to walk to Kuta beach and promenade. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. Very large and spacious reception area with big selection of pleasant restaurants (more expensive than in town). 2 pool areas, one for children, as well as a kids indoor and outdoor play area. Plenty of loungers around pool and quick service, offering drinks and food. Bedroom was very large with balcony and large bed. Very clean with free WiFi, Coffee and Water. Grounds very pretty with trees, flowers, fish all well maintained. Breakfast buffet excellent for choice and quality, plenty of seating and the service was very responsive. Good choice of juices, bacon, eggs, toast, jams, pastries, fruit, cereals pancakes both European and Indonesia choices, and plenty of coffee. Supermarket and restaurants all walking distance. Would definitely recommend and would stay again – Marieanddon, United Kingdom

Bali Dynasty is my favourite hotel if staying in Kuta it has everything you need, a great range of rooms, good service, plenty of places to eat and a great pool with a bar if you want to sit. But the best thing is the vibe and atmosphere at this hotel. You can enjoy a foot massage at the pool. It has beautiful gardens, plenty of lounge beds to lay on, and an abundance of shade. Water slides for the kids and a kids club. It's close to a great shopping area, and walking distance to Waterbom park for the kids - Eleanor Jokich
