"HELP FRIENDS FOR LIFE"

Bali Dynasty Resort ‘Helping Friends for Life’ Charity Program

Bali Dynasty Resort is reaching out to the less fortunate people in Bali through a charity project called ‘Helping Friends for Life’ in partnership with several chosen charities. Through this initiative, we are seeking ways to alleviate the suffering of those who are impoverished and in need of help in the way of medical support, health care, education, and therapy, as well as by providing items or equipment that can give them a better way of life.

Ways in which we raise money for charity –

The voluntary $2 donation per stay, whereby we take the liberty of adding this to your bill on checkout (this is not obligatory and should you prefer not to donate in this way please advise our reception staff on checkout).

Other ways to contribute are to join our Charity Quiz nights every Tuesday and Thursday at Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub, donate cash in one of the charity boxes or bring along handy items like second-hand mobile phones, creams, bandages, etc.

Bali Children Project

Bali Dynasty Resort is excited to announce its new partnership with the respected team at Bali Children Project.

As quoted from Anastasia - "We are so happy to be working with Bali Dynasty to support children into better futures in Bali. Children who would have dropped out will now be able to graduate high school. It will change their lives, opening up new futures that were previously thought impossible. We thank Bali Dynasty and your kind guests for your support."

About Bali Children’s Project.

Bali Children's Project's mission is to help children escape poverty through education. Children from the poorest families are at risk of dropping out of school. In fact, 1 in 5 children will not graduate from high school in Bali due to the fees involved.

Recognizing that poverty limits children's opportunities in life, all programs are directed at fostering long-term, sustainable change. Far from providing 'one off’ support, the organization focuses on giving children meaningful programs to change their futures.

Breaking the cycle of poverty is a key part of the issue. Children who are born into families of uneducated parents are less likely to graduate from school, often having no choice but to drop out and work as day laborers, continuing the cycle.

We can break this cycle through various different educational programs. Through sponsorships, sex education, abuse awareness, infrastructure support and more, the work of Bali Children's Project is reshaping children's lives.

The foundation aims to improve the lives of over 2,500 children with special needs and their families by offering comprehensive care and support services

Muntigunung

To support Muntiguning and the community in East Bali. Bali Dynasty has placed a selection of locally sourced cashew nuts available for purchase in the mini bar in each room.

Back in 2004 Muntigunung (East Bali) was one of the poorest areas in Bali. The land was exceptionally dry and families had to walk for an average of four hours just to get water. Child mortality was high, and there was little access to education and healthcare. Many had to go begging on the touristy streets of South Bali to make ends meet.

In order to alleviate these fundamental problems faced by the local communities, the Muntigunung Community Development Program was developed with a particular focus on water, economy, healthcare, and education. With the goal of improving the economic condition and creating productive employment, products from the natural resources that already existed in Muntigunung, such as cashew nuts and lontar palm sugar were developed. This was followed by expanding into the development of new products made from rosella, mango and moringa.

Locally Sourced

Whenever possible, our social enterprises purchase raw materials at fair prices directly from the farmers in Muntigunung. We also work together with them to increase their agricultural yield and introduce drought-resistant plants such as for example moringa.

Creating a Sense of Pride

Profits from our social enterprises are reinvested, creating more job opportunities within the local area. Being able to work and earn a dignified income creates a sense of pride and enables families to stay together and be role models to their growing children without having to leave their community.

By purchasing their products, you not only hold a beautiful, high-quality product in your hands, you are also providing the people of Muntigunung with a brighter, sustainable future
