For New Year’s Eve, Bali Dynasty Resort will end the year in style. There will be a special international buffet dinner, non-stop entertainment and performances including a live acoustic band, professional fire dancers, a magician, and a lucky draw with fabulous prizes to be won. Adding to the fun will be various party games giving you a chance to claim even more great giveaways such as free drinks.

We’ve also prepared a special New Year’s Eve Party just for kids. Back to Bali Dynasty Party 2020

Mark your calendar and get ready for the 2020 Back to Bali Dynasty Party! Scheduled to take place on the 15th February 2020, this fun evening will be held at Leederville Oval – 246 Vincent St, Leederville.

For the 27th time, the upcoming Back to Bali Dynasty Party will be an opportunity for like minded Bali lovers to gather and also participate in a worthy cause. As our major fundraising event, the party will once again aim to raise some much-needed funds to alleviate the suffering of disadvantaged individuals through our collaboration with Solemen Indonesia.

Garuda Opens New Amsterdam-Medan-Bali Flights

As of October 2019, Garuda Indonesia now operates a new flight service connecting Amsterdam with Medan and Bali. Bypassing Jakarta, the new route forms part of the national flag carrier’s mission to meet European demand for two attractive new areas in the archipelago. The new flights are available six times a week, departing every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The new outbound flight from Amsterdam – named GA 089 – will depart at 12:05 p.m. local time, landing in Medan at 6:25 a.m., and then continue to Bali at 7:05 a.m., landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport at 11:05 a.m.

The Bali-Medan-Amsterdam return flight – named GA 088 – will depart from Ngurah Rai International Airport at 8:25 p.m. local time and arrive at Medan’s Kualanamu Airport at 11:15 p.m. local time. It will then continue on to Amsterdam at 11:55 p.m. and arrive at Schipol International Airport at 7:50 a.m. local time.

The route is serviced by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which can accommodate 36 business and 186 economy class passengers.

Denpasar Festival

Denpasar Festival focuses on happiness and sustainability. It realises Bali’s full potential and the important existence of its creative industry. Held annually, the Denpasar Festival commemorates the end of the year with a silver lining. Each year there is a different theme along with colourful exhibitions and ethnic musical performances by Balinese artists. The close of the festival is celebrated with a dance parade and Dadong Rerod opera.

This year’s Denpasar Festival will be held on the 28th – 30th December 2019. The main venue for this three-day event will be spread across “KM 0 Denpasar” or “Kilometre Zero Point Denpasar”, located at Dauh Puri Kangin, West Denpasar, Denpasar City, Bali. (Source: www.balidestination.com)

Saraswati Day

Saraswati Day is held every 210 days in honour of Saraswati who is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom and learning. It is believed that this beautiful deity also helped the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva to create, maintain and regenerate the universe. So, thanks are given to her on this holy day.

The name Saraswatiderives from two local Balinese words: sara and swaandthi. When combined, these words translateas ‘the one who has all knowledge’. The symbol for Saraswati is a pretty four-armed goddess depicted as playing the zither and holding up scriptures. This portrayalis demonstrative of the thirst of knowledge and higher learning.

The hallmark of the celebration is the provision of offerings by locals regardless of their location: whether at school, at home, at the office, in the farm or in the temples. These offerings are varied, but the one similarity between them is the fact that they are often placed on top of books andholy scripture. This is done in light of the celebration of knowledge, which one can attain from these books.

It is also typical to see Balinese refraining from reading or writing on this day as all the books are offered up to Saraswati. As evening falls, religious books are read in temples or at home to honour the goddess. This year, Saraswati Day will be celebrated on the 7th of December 2019. (Source: www.balitravelhub.com).

Charity Updates

With the support from our loyal guests and their generous donations, Bali Dynasty Resort has been able to establish and sponsor the Bali Dynasty Resort Care & Recovery Centre. This care facility replicates a nurturing home environment that provides the necessary assistance and resources required to keep families together before, during, and after medical treatment. With the centre now open and being operated by Solemen Indonesia, a non-profit charity foundation, Bali Dynasty Resort is focusing its efforts to cover expenses for a number of Sole Buddies who are currently in residence. 

Komang

Komang is a 13-year-old boy from Bangli. He has the rare genetic skin condition known as Harlequins Ichthyosis, which has caused him to become immobile due to limb contractures. Despite his issues, he attends school and loves to sing. After being assessed and monitored by dermatologists, his bathroom was renovated to include a bathtub as soaking is a vital part of his skincare regime. Komang requires two tins of Ensure milk formula, QV Wash and cream, Bicarbonate of soda and two water truck deliveries for bathing totalling approximately IDR 1,200,000-each month.

Wisma

Wisma is an 11-year-old boy living in Singaraja. He suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. When we first met him, he was having a daily seizure and was a very unsettled young boy. After being assessed and monitored by a Specialist Pediatric Neurologist and supporting therapists, his condition has significantly improved. Wisma requires two tins of Ensure formula, plus monthly consultations and medication totalling over IDR 1,000,000-. Unfortunately, his condition is not covered by the local government insurance system (BPJS)

Tour of the Month - Devdan

Devdan – Treasure of the Archipelago is a spectacular stage performance in Bali.
This show features a fusion of traditional Indonesian dance activities with modern contemporary dance, world-class aerial acrobatic attractions, dazzling costumes and hi-tech special effects. The performance is unique because it focuses on the diversity of cultures across Indonesia, from Bali to Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Papua with an extensive array of special effects, acrobatics and traditional dance and music. In addition to the traditional presentation of diversity and uniqueness of Indonesia, the performance deliberately combines contemporary music and "hip hop" dance, making the show very dynamic and entertaining for audiences of all ages from around the world.

The show is one of the most amazing Bali attractions and ensures to provide a perfect choice to fulfil your entertainment activities during your stay in Bali. The show is performed four times per week. Be sure to book your seat early and get ready for the most amazing Bali show available.
