Golden Lotus Presents New Quarterly Promotion: Szechuan Pork Ribs

The award-winning Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant at the Bali Dynasty Resort invites diners to experience its new quarterly promotion Szechuan Pork Ribs. This specialty dish is essentially marinated pork spare ribs in a flavourful Szechuan sauce. The ribs are first cooked slowly in a Chinese steamer and then lightly fried in a pan to loosen the meat from the bone. To make this meal complete, the ribs come served with broccoli in garlic sauce and steamed white rice.

Szechuan Pork Ribs can be enjoyed for only IDR 150.000 nett/portion. This quarterly promotion will be available daily during lunch and dinner from October through to 31st December 2019.

Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant is a sophisticated venue serving the finest Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines, and Dim Sum lunches. Bali Dynasty Resort Proudly Participates in the 2019 International Coastal Clean Up

In partnership with the Bali Hotels Association, Bali Dynasty Resort recently participated in the International Coastal Clean Up Day 2019. The resort’s management team and staff members came together on 21st September 2019 for this environmental awareness project with the aim to clean South Kuta Beach.  

Beginning at 7.00 am, the Bali Dynasty Resort crew picked up rubbish all along the way to Jerman Beach where each bag collected was carefully weighed and documented. The specific trash details from around Bali were then sent to the Ocean Conservancy Board, which compiles records from all over the world. These records will be used by the Ocean Trash Index to raise awareness, identify debris or unusual trash hotspots and advise on policy solutions to reduce water/marine pollution.

The cleaning of South Kuta Beach is not just a once a year undertaking. Bali Dynasty Resort schedules a monthly general clean up in and around the resort, as well as the immediate beach environment. This activity is a highly anticipated get-together for staff members from each different department and builds awareness about the importance of reducing plastic in daily hotel operations. At the same time, it also ensures that all guests get to enjoy a clean and comfortable beach experience during their stay

Charity Update

Following the completed renovations on the Bali Dynasty Care & Recovery Centre in partnership with Solemen Indonesia, we continue to help more individuals who are currently staying at the facility. At the moment, Bali Dynasty Resort is committed to sponsoring three new Sole Buddies who urgently need our support to access essential medical care.

One deserving youngster who is currently under our watchful eye is a 9-year-old girl by the name of Kadek Dwi who suffers from a heart defect and malnutrition. She comes from the Buleleng area where she lives in a very simple house with her parents and older sister. Kadek Dwi had cardiac catheterisation in December last year and is now waiting for the next treatment decision from her cardiologist. She requires monthly support for 2-3 tins Pediasure milk powder and a basic food parcel. Currently, Kadek Dewi is undergoing a treatment for her heart defect and malnutrition. Solemen requires IDR 1.75 million/month for her ongoing treatment and the vitamins/medicine to back her recovery.

We are also providing some much-needed assistance for a 7-year-old boy named Restu who also lives in Buleleng. He has been diagnosed with a heart defect, developmental delays and a cleft palate. Before coming to our attention, he cried constantly because of agonizing toothaches (aside-effect of the cleft palate). However, Restu recently had dental extraction surgery and he now requires a monthly check up with a cardiologist to maintain his well-being.He needs monthly support for transportation, 2 tins of Pediasure milk powder and a basic food parcel. Currently, he is staying at the Solehouse to prepare for therapy in October for his heart defect and development issues. Solemen is seeking IDR 500.000/month to cover Restu’s vitamins/medicine that are a vital part of his overall healing process.

Our ongoing support for those less fortunate in Bali through Solemen is made possible thanks to your continued generosity and donations. On Friday, 6th September 2019, Batik Air – the full-fare subsidiary airline of the Lion Group, launched its new daily flight service connecting Denpasar, Bali and Komodo Airport at Labuan Bajo, West Flores.

Flying an Airbus A-320 aircraft configured for 156 passengers with 12 business class seats and 144 economy seats, the flight operates on a daily basis leaving Bali at 11:35 am local time landing one hour later with the return flight leaving Labuan Bajo at 1:15 pm local time.

A tourism boom is well and truly underway in Labuan Bajo that serves as the gateway to both West Flores and the magnificent Komodo National Park. Ubud Writers and Readers Festival

The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is an annual literary festival that gathers talented speakers and writers from all over the world to meet in Ubud and share their meaningful pieces of writing. The agenda is filled with special literary workshops, book launches, youth programs, as well as showcasing Bali’s intricate arts and rich culture. Main sessions usually take place at Indus restaurant and Neka Museum – all of which are located in Sanggingan, Ubud. Over the years, fringe events have also taken place as part of the festival in other venues outside Ubud, and a variety of other associated literary events have also gone beyond Bali, with talks and workshops held in Jakarta, Sulawesi, Sumatera and Papua.

Bali International Triathlon 2019

The annual Bali International Triathlon is one of the most prestigious and difficult sporting events in Bali. The race has changed title sponsors several times over the decade since it was first held and various new features have also been added to its events agenda and race course. Among other significant changes, the race destination shifted from Jimbaran Bay to the Sanur beach area.

The race regularly features an Olympic distance course with male and female divisions, as well as a sprint distance course and a 5 km Fun Run that accommodates casual runners, families, and visitors to Bali looking for a fun and healthy way to add to their holiday on the island.

Nusa Dua Fiesta is an annual festival that presents a week-long agenda filled with arts, culture, sports, music and exhibitions. The festival takes place in and around the peninsula within the ITDC complex in Nusa Dua.
